Hi Schmitzi, I really like your "15-20min" studies from the last page, and nice pics from berlin btw.
For your last painting: Please stay away from white for the background, because it's very hard to see the right values and the skin tones depend very much on the surrounding.
Try to mix some colors from the background into the shadows of the character (to unify) and use the "light source" color for the highlights. Hope it helps! (ich ha's irgendwo mal glese, s'funktioniert aber nöd schlecht für mich)
bbwolf -- Its great that my studies helps!
Gokoi -- Thanks!
That's true, i really should not start to paint on a white background. But i think in this illustration its ok. 'cause i will keep the background white since there are some white highlights on the body... it wouldn't make sense if there is a BG in grey. No?
I´m really amazed! gdamn, this is a really nice SB!
and yey, switzerland in da house , I think we keep it english right?
so the first digital is really Freakn great! wow!
wondering where in switzerland you are…maybe ya let me know
(ps: wonderful B/W photos!!)
realy nice stuff u have here
keep going - your talent need nothing then motivation
what kind of brush setting you use for your digital paints?
i´m still on my first steps with painting and doin it mostly digital
grüße in die schweiz
bigfooTrooper -- hahahaha!!! I think i should change my profile picture... I'm sorry for you - IT IS NOT ME
But thanks anyway!
Well I'm somewhere in fucking AG.
greets nach Zürich
Kristo Novo -- Thanks!
I also just started to draw. So I also have to figure it out for my self.
Usually i am using the round - normal Brush with 100% hardness. I'm painting with compression for size and for opacity I'm using the circle-rad (airbrush pen). For special lines i change the settings (hardness, size, distance, etc...)
But for special Brushes - brushes with texture you should create them by your own 'cause the B's from PS are in a very low resolution. From a certain size they're getting diffuse. For me I'm usually creating them 1000x1000 pixel.
Hope that helps a bit...
I was (and still am) thinking that your first digital piece is really good (from a technical viewpoint!!!). Now that compliment should stand alone right there! that I ask you where you are located right below is unlucky!! I didn´t mean it "that" way!! I basically ask every swiss fellow where they are located, maybe I stumble over somebody from Zurich that would form some kind of sketch-group in future (got no time right now/school…)
so sorry again
I hope it´s clear now
love your anathomy studies from first page, cool drawing style
also cool brush work in your digitals...
when it goes about color mixing in digi-painting...i do it experimental..u must learn to paint like in real life..with traditional media...but in software you use..
the best way i know is to paint on one layer, don't use eraser tool and ctrl+z
good luck, waiting for more posts
I love this sb!
I particularly love the way you can capture gesture in your pencils.
About speedpaintings, the last one (the girl) is really nice, and cool use of brushes!
I have a sketchbook!
wow what a powerfull black and white pictures. they have a great strength, emotional speaking. i get a verry unpleassant feeling. like im alone, or to late. strong pictures. i like the empty wall. with only graffity. NICE. and the rest. it seems u master all kinds of arts. i like the clay figures. please look at my sketchbook
2009 -- Hello 2009 - Let's see what you got!?!?
bigfooTrooper -- Watch out!
selfu -- Thanks!! Yes actually i wanted to change back to traditional way on day! I thought it would be easier to understand the color in the digital way because the operation is much faster. But i think you can not compare them. Both are complete an other medium for expressing. No?
alicelefay -- Thanks for your words - cheers!
serio -- Thanks thanks : )
sebastian_H -- I try my best everywhere. ; )
Sooo... i started with pixel art-stuff, that means i tried to. These are my first robots. oh yes, by the last one there is an optic mistake, so i still have to change that...
Meaby i wangle to make a gif animation how the robot is walking - meaby - i sure will try to.
And if someone is well versed in pixel art - meaby you can give me some tips how to do this better or faster 'cause i need a day for one piece.
And yeahhh. I have life drawing in school again - more sketches and paintings will follow...
This is a speed painting - if you can call it like this (≈ 30 min)
I promise - i'm adding next steps from the girl above...
a pensil practice - this is not cate blanchett!
Damn - i had about two hours for that little piece. I have to become faster...
Abrodos -- Uff, i am really thankfull for those words!
bigfooTrooper -- Hey!! Hi once again, man!
Ahm... yes this is actually me, but it really doesnt looks like me! - sooo - its late

yeah. Just take a deep breath and relax. Then start from the top.
What´s this Halflive Mod thing? I can do creatures and Textures as well as maybe enviros but have no idea about UV mapping. What´s that all about?
A tutor once said to me: "Let your mind go!" and it didn´t come back.
