Very nice Carol.
On Midnight Dream I like the fact that you painted a realistic woman (not model thin) but it looks like she would need a couple more flowers to hold her up.
In the bird series, the one running with the sword up in the air: in general if his right arm/wing is back then his right leg should be forward. I know its a bird but that is the natural running motion we recognize.
Keep up the good work.
hey thanks for your comments and observations! yeah i sort of thought about the flower thing when i was 3/4 way through the oil painting but decided just to keep going since i was on a deadline.. I still hope it works ok, i mean she is a fairy so perhaps she is not like us humans as much LOL ah well.. more thought in order on the next one..
The nit picks in the birds running pose totally sliped by me too. I actually was sort of going for a more running with sword raised or swinging sword back. Perhaps I could have dipicted this better.. for future images what do you think could I have done to make him look more like he was running at something with sword raised?
or to convey more feeling there?
thanks for taking the time to comment!

I think that making it a slightly more extreme pose might help, right now he is right in the middle of a stride, if he were more at the beginning or end of his stride that would add some interest. If you browse some sports photo galleries you'll see some really dynamic running poses.
All the best,
