I've been looking through your sketchbook and your pencil rendering has a lot of the same lighting feel to it (not that it isn't GREAT rendering). This last post has a way better impact on the rendering for painting. Good stuff.

creatures have really dynamic rendering, and solid form. that speedy is good fun tho, good to subvert photos once in a while as the basis for an image.

Great job on those critters on the previous page. The tones are super solid but maybe try pushing the silhouettes further and considering the rhythm of each creature (like I'm one to talk - I suck at creatures!).

    Keep pushing!

    Cheers, Nick.

Your pencils are so fluid and voluminous almost like the figures have been sculpted instead of drawn.

    Really fantastic stuff.

good to see you really pushing out of your comfort zone with your color choices. im curious to see how you are going to move forward. id suggest pushing texture details and thinking about material even more. metal should read as metal plastic as plastic ect... ur on ur way man

    That environment is niiice!

Very minor crit: The bottom left pencil guy's right eye is much higher than the other eye. Apart from that, I have nothing to say other than keep it up!

Dude the last environment is hawt!
I feel that the castle in the distance could use some darkening though (or perhaps a cloud drifting majestically behind it) to create some contrast. I find myself looking at the middle of the picture right above the 2nd hill because that is the point of highest contrast for me.

But you definately got some cool stuff going on in here. That character in the bamboo forest is really well rendered.

ps. is that a chin guard I spot on him?
    ds.

    ps2. if so; awesome

whooo that last landscape really jumped out! I HAVE to start experimenting more with such techniques...there are only a few things that bug me, like the saturation mixture on the top of the middle hill and bright lines to the left of the tree...yadda yadda nice work!
