Thanks m0uS3r I'll try to keep it coming ^^

So here is one more. Here I tested a new style. I called the picture "Das Meer" ("The sea" in English).
Took me about 7 Minutes or so to finish it, but I really like the result as a framed picture. More than I would have expected while I painted it.

hey till! thanks for stopping by at my book and your kind words - really like what i'm seeing here, very good variety of materials and subjects, i always admire people that don't stay in their "comfort zone" (as i tend to do...).

especially like those still lives (the brushes and the glass), really well-rendered materials you have there.

do you have the chance to take another anatomy or life drawing class? it helps so much to draw from life. but as gtgauvin already mentioned: maybe try to think more in planes ("ebenen"/"flächen") than in outlines. i know it's kind of hard to wrap your head around that, but once you got it, it gets easier. maybe bridgman is a good starting point for you (if you haven't already done that), he describes this quite well...

those anatomy and proportion studies look really good, you're definetely on the right track.
i'll try and stop by every now and then, bis dahin erstmal liebe grüße nach mainz.

@kischi: Thank you. I just started to read "Die Gestalt des Menschen" by Gottfried Bammes and so I try to do even some more anatomy studies.

@stine: Tank you too. It really seemslike you have read my whole sketchbook. Thank you for doing this.
As I mentioned above I just started to read a Bammes book (and a bit of Loomis "Figure Draw For All It's Worth"). Is there a big difference between Bammes/Loomis and Bridgman? I think Bammes has some better pictures of muscles and bones but Loomis has better propotion pictures.
Why do you think Bridgman would be the right one for me?

@all: I am totally desperate, every time I use photoshop. Does anyone know a site with good photoshop tutorials? Especially a tutorial about how to use brushes?

    so, some new stuff.

    1. Some really quick studies of the human figure
    2. Some other quick studies.
    3. Bone studies.
    4. Studies of the human head (1min per head)

I'm not really happy with some of this studies but I want to post everything I'm drawing. I hope you can tell me what I can do different or better.

This is a coloring of a picture by yoitisi. I liked the sketch so much, that I startet to color it.

yoitisi if you stop by, could you please say what you think about it? And is it an apple at the goblins shoulder and a candle at his staff? I wasn't shure about this two things.

hey there, nice start on the coloring job. I've never actually had someone else coloring an image of me, so it'd be great to see how it turns out

The 'apple' was actually meant to be a metal disc on a chain, but I scrapped that and drew the shoulderpads over it. That one was what remained of the original idea and since I couldn't really erase it without ruining the paper I left it there. Great idea of making an apple out of it, solves some issues in that area The bottle hanging from his staff should actually have just a cork on it, but again I think making it a candle sort of adds to it.

I like the color combination already, maybe throw in different kinds of brown, or even dark purples and reds to vary a bit.
