Haven't been in here for a while, but man you are just rocking the studies!
I have a critique for the second last one, though. The symmetry is slightly off on his face, but the rendering is ace.
Keep it up!

Worktasticular sketchbook, Henchman. I'm loving the trolls.
Your faces are looking good, man. One little critique though, sometimes the eyes are a bit too close to eachother or in different distance from the nose. Do some eyestudies focusing on this problem and your faces will look even more awesome.
On the last one, the left <--- side of the nose looks more crooked then the right, kinda breakes the facial symmetry.
Keep it up dude!

dan WHEN I COME VISIT remind me to show you how to light yourself properly for your self portraits...and why it's like 100000x easier. You have no idea how hard you are making it on yourself by not taking some time to set up some decent lighting!!
see u this weekend!!

Your color palette is feels limited by the use of a warm toned lighting.
Push saturation add some more blue tones and it looks a lot better.
Someone gave you a pink-eye? I had to push those colors back a bit
Same goes for your nude study March 12th, 2010, 03:43 AM - skin colors don't look right - don't be afraid to throw in some color variation.
orking with an underpaint with browns, blue, green, purple could be a useful exercise.

Sounds like all you Noreasters have fun together, yes, that kind of fun . I think you should take all Uziel's suggestions, and also add lens flares as speculars in the eyes, more contrast, several sharpen filters. Then your portrait could start approaching badass. I mean come on, Lens flares in the eyes would be friggin awesome! I think people who use limited and controlled color palettes, such as Whit, Dave, D@niel, yeah they all got it wrong.

Whoa, your pencil drawings from page 9 are freakin SICK! The level of detail is great and you still keep the values and form good. Plus your line quality is awesome, damn!
