Here's something quick
Concept: Living catapult (spitters)
Produces some sort of toxic goo or jelly on the end of a spoon- or shovel-like arm and throws it like a catapult.
whoa, super nice stuff! Interesting use of brushes.
Further development of the living catapult idea
Your creatures remind me of Wayne Barlowes work. Very similar feel to them. Some damn nice stuff you got here.
Weird enough, I did the link wrong somehow. But thanks!
My sister, from a photo
and a couple of older sketches that I like
So awesome stuff it's actually a bit intimidating for someone less skilled, like me :D
- A beehive or ant colony develops hivemind intelligence and designs a vehicle to make their nest mobile and defend it
- musical instrument that's played with your feet
- James Bond gadgets in...
I have over 20 posts but still have a couple of posts in moderation limbo. One in this daily sketch group thread (link)
and another in Sinix's design lab thread (link)
Great for a 15 year old. I couldn't draw much anything back then.
- If some other animals evolved into sentient beings instead of primates
- future evolution of modern day animals
- creature that moves with naturally evolved wheels driven by naturally evolved...
Awesome style, more please! :)
Stupid shadow on my face
What the... this stuff is insanely gorgeous! I'm probably gonna be too old to hold a pen before I can learn to draw this good.
Thanks for this, could really use this kind of perspective into things. It's so easy to think "nah, why bother, takes too long to become good at anything anyway, now what's on TV tonight?"
Nice owls there! You seem to like owls a lot :)
I have a similar problem myself, I would just use google image search or any interesting objects found around the house but it's so tempting to just doodle instead, because imagination is too...
Here are some thumbs. Numbers 1 and 3 spit liquid, 2 and 4 are kind of like living catapults throwing some kind of jelly. 5 develops pearls like clams do and shoots them like cannonballs.
Thinking kind of semi-cartoonish Einstein type of scientist whose neck elongates, here's a sketch (very much out of my comfort zone, I should really learn to draw people):
You do some quite nice studies from life, but transferring the knowledge to pieces done from imagination seems to be a bit of a problem. I'm not saying that I could do much better but maybe you...
Superb quality work indeed. Very spot-on anatomy, I would just like to see more finished renders with textures.
This one was actually for Daily Sketch Group (Snapshot of a heavily tattooed alien), but since my postcount is still low, it went in moderation because of linking it...
My favorites are Chris Foss and Syd Mead. Would link but the message would just go in moderation limbo since my postcount is too low. Besides, many people know them anyway or can google them. Syd...
I really, really hope Elite: Dangerous gets enough backers. I loved all the previous Elite games.
