Since most of the people like the Fighter illustration, I've posted step by step process for that illustration. It's in the WIP sub forum:

it's been a while from my last visit.
In the meantime I've made some new illustrations. Some are self promotional, some are commissions. All are made in traditional techniques.

I use gouache in first steps more liquid (like watercolor), and then add some more thicker layers. Highlights are the thickest parts of painting.

second card is published. It's call "BRIGG". It suppose to be published as a "Hedgecutter" card (the axe), but it was released as a "Brigg" card (name of the orc warrior).

Yes, that's right. It has some Frazetta influences. Frazetta often use limited palette (for example his "Neanderthal" painting).

Here's my newest painting/illustration called "The Horde". It's my attempt to make a dark and cold mood in illustration. There's no special story for this painting. It's just - a horde.
I agree with this comments, and one more thing: I don't have feeling it's night scene. Face and figure of the Odin is from photo taken by daylight or flash, and it look's like background is painted...
