Some pencil pieces I'm fairly happy with. I used my own facial expressions as reference. There might be a perspective issue with the first piece, but it was good experience anyway.
The last pic is...
I've been away for nearly 2 years, but I had alot going on, and not much artwork got done.
In the last few months I've managed to do some stuff, so here goes. :)
Hey everyone. I've been asked to work on animating part of a client's 2D logo. It's a horse. He wants the horse to be moving it's legs while standing on two legs. I might also do the horse rearing up...
I see gundams in the future. :)
Maybe they will have installed AI systems at some point. If anyone builds an awesome robot/mecha, it will undoubtedly be Japan.
Should be interesting.
TJ Verhagen, thanks! :)
More pics after finishing touches.
About finished. I may lighten the eyes, though. Then just add the glaze to complete.
Here's more progress.
This one is turning out to be very bird-like.
Another dragon sculpt from me. :)
Klydezilla, Thanks! I am going to make more dragons and fish if I can. There's no base for this guy, since he can stand on his own. He will be listed for sale on my site when I get his photos up.
Added some light yellow, and gold to finish up. Then gloss afterward. :) Angela
Finished painting, here's the sculpt completed. Just need to add a little varnish, and he's done.
I didn't take any progress photos this time, but wanted to post anyway. Just finished this little guy. I've only made one other dragon, and it looked less feisty than this one.
I also went with...
MikeMakesModels, thanks. :) A house accent is something like candle holders, bookends, or wall plaque. I'm planning to try to make things like this and hopefully be able to create molds to cut down...
I'm curious how much the materials cost, and how long a mold can last through multiple uses. This would be for polymer clay sculpts.
The reason I ask is because I'd like to sell some of my work...
Finished the squirrel today. Planning next ideas. :D ~Angela
lornangal, thanks. :)
I use acrylics for painting my sculptures. With polymer clay, you should probably stick to acrylic, since it works better on clay.
With polymer clays, you can't use...
elektrolikit, thank you. Plenty more will come soon.
Here's the latest completed sculpt. The squirrel. I know it's not perfect in some areas, but I'm happy with it. I'm pleased with how the fur...
Snail is complete. Also did a reshoot of the koi pictures. They're both listed for sale on my site.
Finally gave the big koi a proper base, and a coat of gloss.
More wip pics of the squirrel.
Just ordered some paints, so stay tuned for more painted sculpts!
Thanks, Mah'Crub. :) Sculpting is a great hobby and art form.
I just painted two of my previous sculpts from last year. They've been needing some color. The big koi fish, and little elf girl bust...
Next project is either a squirrel, or the little girl chimp. I have the armature for the squirrel done, and some concept drawings of the sculpts. The chimp concept may need to be redrawn, since that...
Here's the snail progress. I think I may have finished it in one day. Any critiques are welcome.
The shell texture and design I took artistic liberty with. The skin texture sort of makes me think...
Hey guys, I'm getting back into sculpting. Trying out a couple things to challenge myself, such as things with texture.
Things I have in mind, or being worked on:
1. Garden Snail - This one...
Latest digi paints. The forest one I wasn't too happy with. The other is a self portrait which I'm reasonably happy with. Both were done using my own photo refs.
