Finals for D&D art test
Some progress, flattened out the background a lot, I felt it was competing a bit too much with the character.
Like the others have said you need to do a fair bit of work before trying this type of dramatic lighting. You need to be really confident of the forms/planes you're trying to define.

Aren't the VPs also determined by the FOV as well as the object's dimensions and position? Still confused sorry.
I think I may have explained things badly.
Basically I'd like to know if there is a concrete way of calculating VPs given a desired FOV.
Something I haven't been able to find any information on when dealing with perspective, is how to replicate various FOVs (field of views) without simply eyeballing it.
I'm assuming there is some...
I found vilppu's teachings on gesture and rhythm helped me a huge amount.
