Quick self portait dump, Happy Easter every1!
Gorgeous work dude, that girls portrait is killer. The Still Lifes in the previous page are great too, nice edge control. Nice job.
Man that place sounds amazing! Fantastic speed paints on the blog mate.
Thank you very much! I guess to make an edge visually more interesting you can create your own custom...
Wwwah, i need to more concept drawings. Great stylish faces, great mix of styles too.
This is an Airsoft Gun Still Life, original version is much higher res (7000 x 5000):
After Jeffrey Catherine Jones:
So anyway, this time I'm streaming for real (even though i sorta was before but didn't advertise as it was only for 20...
Good work Dom, I see you're painting lots of shiny things and there's possibly a danger when you paint non-reflective surfaces you might suffer with the values.
So more old master studies: John...
'sa more studeyz
I have a livestream now.
But there's a twist! I'll actually be using Twitch (for the first time) tomorrow for streaming. Once I have it all sorted out...
Life Drawing, top pencil / bottom biro. I'm getting used to biro (ballpoint), so far so good
Hurrah CA is back! :yayca:

Good to see, good to see, excellent babby. Albeit the pencils are ace, I want to see some other mediums! Hope you're well. Your work is starting to remind me of Charles Dana Gibson :O
Thanks for stopping by kevin_ :)
Some digitals finally~ (all studies but some concepts are not too far away)
Cool sketchbook. I like your pencils, mainly because they have more gesture/rhythm. Maybe try scanning em and painting over them. Thanks
Ah thanks for posting that portrait, AND everything else! Awesome pencils, and the digi cloudscapes, very dramatic although the values look a little too contrasted. More please.
The one with the lady with the red hair, couple months back i think. Nice wolf!
abandoned brick yard plein air
more V&A and an NPG drawing
Ahhh c'mon post that portrait! Love the colour variation in the armadillo btw.
Man I wish I could paint a self-portrait like that when I was 15, excellent work!
It does need more play between warm and cold colours, but I struggle with that too.
Keep at it
Plein air of a woodland stream. It's a bit on the cold side, need to add some warm tints to the canvas in future.
A tree in my garden and a V&A sculpture
woah nice landscape studies, good use of colour and nice edges especially on the trees in the second waterfall. Be careful not to use too much black in your shadows though, keep that warm versus cold...
Good idea keeping things planar, you need to watch your edges though as things are looking a bit soft or unresolved in areas. Keep posting :)
Thank you very much, I would also love to do some Jeffrey Catherine Jones studies at some point.
Cheers, don't you have priority access to the Tate...
nice texture in that last uni piece, hope you blew them away!
I also like the male life drawing has good gesture and form.
wow, love those building concepts, nice combo of design and tone
