On a positive note, I kindof like the abstract feeling of the sunlight.
On a constructive note: Do study anatomy more. You'll enjoy it. I recommend Andrew Loomis' books (you can find them...
Definitely better, so great going! But still quite a bit of room for improvement.
You're trying to draw a complete face after receiving the advice to learn to construct faces. Why not try to draw...
Also check out online resources like tutorials and ebooks. And follow them, even if they seem simple or uninteresting. Try to learn, rather than expecting to be taught, and you should do fine.
So, anyone else feel strangely invigorated with the new tack conceptart.org has taken? Seems like a strong step towards a better world! We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Nice. I do see some odd things with the vertical perspective, I think. It looks like that far-off entranceway is widening a bit towards the top, where perspective should cause it to converge...
Drawing from reference allows you to draw 'armor-like things' that look like armor-like things. Otherwise it's going to look like a mess around figures.
Same with drawing creatures of any kind; if...
Yeah, the Loomis books are gone at saveloomis.org
Found them on my old linux box, put them online temporarily on my site
(and started experimenting with Google APIs, so put some adsense on...
Nice! The shield is fine. It's not really a shield, it's a buckler, as in:
Looking fantastic. You can pretty much see the curve in the last picture (nice angle), and it is quite a curve.
Like your previous works, excellent attention to detail, interesting design, great...

Might look even better with a longer tail?
Pressure sensitivity depends on the program and tool, IME. Painter's better than Photoshop in this regard, with the Volito. Painter's Scratchboard Tool is very good at going from point to thick blob....
A wise person once said that if you can't make a good drawing with cheap materials, you can't make a good one with expensive materials either.
I have a volito, and use it only to doodle, which is...
Right now it seems to me that the outside of the leg reaches just a little bit higher than the crotch, and that rotation happens about the crotch.
The outside of the leg should reach to almost the...
The Loomis books are out of print, and to prevent their lapse from knowledge, they've been put online.
So just go to http://www.saveloomis.org/ and download them.
I love the female torso. Looks pretty good, although the neck is probably too long.
I don't see much in the way of construction of the drawing, especially for the faces. Just...
OC is OpenCanvas, a nifty little drawing tool, now at version 3.03 or so:
There's also a free(ish?) older version (around 1.0) around that lots of...
In both Painter 7 and 8, opening it as a Script Library helps, in that I can see the thumbnail as 'davenudegood'. I still can't play it though, although apparently Android uses Cold Press Watercolor...
