Was running out of steam for a couple days but then I remembered some wise words...
so here is #29/50 + #30/50
To clarify one more thing. Maybe I overemphasized doing just boxes. But more important is that you get something from the studies.
If you never want to draw context-less boxes again fine. If you...
Gonna have to put in some mad work to make up for the time you were away but sick skull warrior.
Oh come on man! You already got bored with the boxes?
I really think the rotating box or box rings you did at the bottom of #61 is one of the most helpful things. Did you get tired of it because...
The designs and various cultural references are quite cool.
You experimented with cartooning earlier, maybe you could mess with varying degrees of exaggeration and dynamics
What would you say...
@Kuroro I will try to find some anatomical references and pay more attention to the legs. I'm going to stick with the waist up focus until the end of the week.
Also, sorry, should have clarified...
You asked what kind of perspective exercises were good. I think the box turning exercise you did in post 61 is really good. Visualize it before you start drawing and try to make it as...
thnx mrs-thanatos, I still need to improve both of those things but hopefully things are more structured now.
Time to get back to work. I'll post some of my thoughts...
I guess you already got an honest critique and good advice from element.
I like your attitude and I'm kind of searching for other people who have some drive and hunger to go beyond mediocrity...
#26/50 with focus on everything above waist
Since I'm over half way there now, going to take a quick break and reflect on what is working and what isn't before proceeding.
Right now I'm doing some guilt-free heavy reference work to erase away any bad habits I had and establish some new ones that are more grounded in reality. For 8 weeks I'm just focusing on learning...
Thanks for pointing that out Kuroro, it becomes really obvious when someone else highlights the mistakes. With that in mind I tried to take more care in what you mentioned.
Set #25 dedicated to...
set #24/50 dedicated to powerhead "kill" (so beast he deserves 2 gifs)
I stopped posting for a bit but I kept up the studies.
Even if you don't post again, keep drawing hard. It may be frustrating and boring now, but in a year or two you will be in a much better...
Loving the themed gestures. Really cool to see you mix it up with mech, pokemon and humans.
I think the exercise videos are great because of the range of motion, hope you find them useful too.
I was gonna not post for a while since I felt like I had some good direction and just needed to grind it out, but the focus studies slipped... So here I am again for accountability reasons.
Hey, thanks for stopping by, cool baseball sequences. Keep spamming the figures, it should get easier and quicker. What helped me most is simplifying everything down and grouping things together. If...
Some are from deviantart, search stock pose photos or look for random cosplay photos
Others were from videos- Rhythmic gymnastics, stretching/yoga videos, TKD/tricking videos
I find the...
Yuu, if you ever look at the works of really good action animators they can do way better quality, a lot faster, and without reference.
I'm still stuck in garbage tier. Maybe by the time i reach...
Keep it up!
Don't forget to draw heads from different angles and connect them back to the body. What's helping me is mixing in some longer accuracy studies so I can be more accurate on the faster...
arms + set 15
Set 13 + set 14
ref: Rhythmic gymnastics + deviant art cosplay
Slipping on the focus studies but will begin arm week tomorrow.
@ Yuu - U better be working ur ass off as well!
set 12- only time for shorter studies today
I wish this community was a bit more active with the comments and critiques...
Anyways I like the design of the character from post #19 with the scarf and the perspective...
I'm just going to re-post these here because they are that good.
