SketchBook: More studies from Hogarth :)
More studies from Hogarth :)
Your lines pieces is beautiful so far. It looks very elegant, perfect for the swan. Can I ask, how do you decide which projects to and when?
Working through a Hogarth book for dynamic figure drawing, plus a Caravaggio master study. At the beginnings of both, and not entirely sure what I'm doing, but so far so good ^_^
That's a good idea, stitching it together. I'll either do that or just go use the large scanners at like a Kinkos or something ^_^

Another WIP of my Chinese Dragon...almost done. I'm learning a lot about how long things take. "A couple more hours" turned out to be another three and half today--I keep underestimating how long the...

I think another couple of hours and I'll have it finished. I'm very happy with it, and I managed to surprise myself with the values. It's the best...
SketchBook: Quick update
Still working on the creature design. I've got family visiting, so my work got put on hold for a few days. Should be able to finish up and post final work by the end of this week.
Great work from your SB. Where do you usually go to draw from life? So far I've found bookstores to be good--everyone is too busy reading to be bothered that you're drawing them ^_^
Very nice. I particularly like how you rendered the toes and the face...very tricky areas, but you made them look natural. Awesome ^_^
SketchBook: Chinese Dragon WIP
Okay, so I had a really cool idea for a story from the first ever CHOW I attempted a couple months back...I'm still learning how to create a complete visual narrative illustration, so I had to...
