Ahh, I love the comic pages! Please keep posting here!
I loooove the CGHub paintover thread! :D
Hm, about that marine, the "make a difference" text should be on top, it just cuts the image in an odd way. OR make the star a little higher up and more...
Well, I guess there's not a lot to say when you're going to change the picture to make it your own :) Are you working with reference at this point or have you dropped it completely?
They indeed got very swamped. And then there was that whole TAD thing.
I like the mermaid, but perhaps you should work on water more. Make it look deeeeeep :D
It's true that fish look emotionless, but yours just seems stuck somewhere in between. You could make it look super emotionless and it would also look good :D
The rendering on that blade *_*...
Re: life vs photo drawing, speaking from my own experience.
Photograph is a flat image, a split second in time captured on film, everything on it is fixed - you cannot tilt your head to see how...
Welcome back! I'm sorry to hear you were sick :[ However, taking a bit of a break (even if it's forced) can be a very good thing. Recharging the batteries and all that.
You should do more face...
Wooo, a Cintiq! Must be awesome working with it :)
I approve of the coloured version. I'm a bit curious to what Hannes & Jana are going to do with it... the paintovers they did so far are so...
The tree turned out great :)
The flying scene - it feels like a crop of a bigger picture, right now. You need more empty space to show off just how massive the cathedral is. The ship in the front...
Wow, your sketchbook is beautiful <3 You got some MAD rendering skills!
You need to work on facial expressions, though. The two girls up there ^ don't draw me in at all.
Same with the fish...
I'd like to see the colours now kthx 8D
It's a nice start, but you need a tighter composition there. It's very static right now. You know the rules - vertical lines mean action, straight ones not really. Vertical lines symbolise power...
I like that, spooky tree! You rendered it so well :)
Have you thought about making the forest lights more blue/purple, to make the atmosphere even more scary? It would make the tree pop more.
Fierce sketchbook =D
Taking some time off (forced or not) can be a good thing. Get inspired by those monster machines! :D
Wooo Loomis! Make sure you do A LOT of drawings from imagination after copying his poses :) And be careful, some of the standing figures are falling to the right and some proportions are a bit messed...
Is that from War of the Worlds? The study looks sweeeet! And so does the girl from previous page. I tip my hat off to you all who have a job or two and still find time to do kickass studies!
Hey, I'm sorry you won't be able to post often here :[ Good luck with your job and study hard in between so you can knock us off our chairs when you come back! :D
Hi, nice sketchbook. I'm about to start studying torso from Bridgman, too :) Make sure to draw from imagination afterwards, it really helps you to remember the anatomy!
Love your pencil sketches!
The study is coming along so nicely :) I really like the skintones so far - characters look alive and there is a lot of variations. Reflections in water are amazing as well. Fabrics look a little...
Prince of Persia looks adorable :) I really love everything you do, it inspires me to study more. Please finish the fishie thing concept :D
Hej, odlicni radovi, sve mi se jako dopada :) Pogotovo zuta pticica :D
OMG a flower. It's so well done!
Your girls are cute and I love your b&w studies. Perhaps you should focus on colour a bit more now.
Cool refs, Danny :) Try to focus on colour more, saturation too, it's a bit off in some areas (sky is oversaturated in the last speedie, for example). It is true that there are no overly saturated...
You be burnin'... :D But seriously, work on those butts, they look oddly attached to the body.
