Black Spot- you think so too, huh? It kind of turned into two different paintings, I was just having too much fun with the colors on those buildings. If the buildings were on there own, would you...
I tried to draw some geese on the docks today, and I thought of how well you draw animals XD When spring comes, I'm sure there will be beautiful landscapes for you to draw, too! Good luck!
I imagine that it was dark too, making drawing all the more difficult, huh? I like the last one a lot, especially the lit face. how long did it take you?
Angel- Yeah, I see what you mean :) and it's alright, I loooove puns.
Black Spot-Yay! I'm glad that you think so!
Ghast-Haha, That's the second time today that I've seen a reference to that story....
Great sketches! I really love your latest illustration so far. One thing though, that patch of rocks behind his head looks a little off. It's not really cohesive with the rest of the environment.
Not fair that your school gives free figure drawing sessions :O. But you can tell how much you've been benefiting from them! I really like the linework in #102's 40 minute sketch.
Ooh! One of the things that I learned about this semester was how classical black paints differed from modern paints. What I'm saying is...good colors! You've captured the look of natural pigments...
Juliet Lewis looks good! the highlights on the cheeks and the chin are very convincing.
Poetry man- Thanks! I drew the first one during my Japanese print history class. Shhh, don't tell anyone!
Angel- Yay! I've already learned alot from the class :)
Ooh! The colors on your first digi back are really nice! I like the exercises that you are doing recently, I'll have to try that out.
About what Ixallus said, the gesture for the zookeeper would look alright if the bird was the type one would use in falconry (of course in that case you would still want it off of you, huh?). If you...
Angel Intheuk-I'll push those details :) you think cropping it like this?
Lisa-gloria- thank you. My favorite part of that one is how the smooshed-up cheeks turned out :D
it's nice to see you thinking of so many variants for the clown concept, they look really good so far. And remember to take a little time each day to take it easy, I know that kind of stress can run...
Did you just slide that girl into those pants after you drew them? XD
I really like the self portrait, you are capturing the fabric materials wonderfully.
OOOoooh, I'm really interested to see how this sitting works out, I'm liking the prelims :D
It's great that you started art again, I quit geology to do it :D. It's crazy, in just this past week or so you've already improved so much. Keep at it, I'll be rooting you on!
I don't really have a lot to critique, Black Spot already said what I was thinking. But hey, you should do a portrait of your car some time! then you could do a portrait IN a work shop.
The gun designs are looking cool :o...I can just imagine dropping the first one on my foot XD. The perspective on this one was looking a little off to me, though. I hope this helps! I reworked it a...
Oh god...that pig is intimidating. The colors are wonderful, Rotor. Dierat is right, the pink in the ears are beautiful:)
These are wonderful; the hatching is great, it reminds me of scratchboard illustrations. those things may give you nightmares, but I love creepy crawlies(except carpenter ants. Finding one in your...
I just realized that I missed your sketchbook last time I posted! I'm sorry :(
The hands are very good on the Amanda Palmer pic, you got the contrast really good on them! The drapery studies are...
Thank you to everyone! I've posted in all of your sketchbooks :D
Here's a few things from the last few months, didn't really have any art related classes last term. I will post some more later:)...
oh Rotor, I love the guy that's on fire, it looks awesome :D Your figure drawing is really really sharp, keep it up!
I can't believe I missed international self portrait day! Yours looks good, by the way :D the life drawings are very nice, especially the ones that are lit from below.
Hello Kjesta! Sorry that I haven't been around. Your hatching technique is wonderful(I just realized that makes it sound like you are a bird, sorry)! And hey, I'm taking a visual storytelling class...
