You are correct, it is just too much. What that would be insinuating is more of a "real' danger than the imaginative.. almost silly dangers I want her to be fabricating.
I like this one much better than the original. It is definitely more interesting.
This is the next painting I am working on while applying the critiques you offered for The Apple piece.
This is on a large canvas - so I've taken four pics: Whole, middle, right side, left side....
I like the colors. Maybe not so much black shadows in the hair? The black muddies the color tremendously. Opt for lighter/darker shades of the surrounding original hair color...
Awesome. Thanks so much for that critique. Extremely helpful! Regarding the shadows.. I was a weenie about them. Do you feel that it would help liven up her face if I added more? My lighting needs...
Thank you for your reply! Do you think it can be balanced out by maybe adding something the the upper right corner? I didn't want the canvas to feel too crowded and thought by putting her off to the...
Here is a larger pic. Thanks for your reply! Acrylics were watered down quite a bit so maybe that's why they look like water color. I'm just learning about color theory and complimentary colors and...
This is a first acrylic painting. I'd love to improve. Full picture below.
Now come on, madam... I know you've a class to teach - but where are our updates? Hanging us to dry like this is a little cruel. ;) I'll be bugging you at the clubhouse also.
Thanks! Im going to build a full armature for his body. UrRus have four arms so it should be fun and challenging. Thanks for checking him out so far :D
Thanks! He's all nose!
I've started the head of an UrRu. It was based loosely off of UrZah -I'm thinking about going back an making him reseble UrZAh more.
He hasn't been detailed with the thought swirls yet because I...
I wonder why this didn't receive more comments?
I like this a lot and I think you did a great job. I haven't seen the show he seems to be from. I like his hands and the detail you put into him.
Tell you what.. you start over and I would much appreciate you selling this to me. As far as not looking like him - it may also be the smoothness.. I remember him being rather gnarly looking. Almost...
Wonderful work! I especially like the detail in the "smoke" - Please update as you progress.
Thank you for your wonderful reply! I will have to try that :rendered:
How do you go about your eyes? Whatever you do - it adds to the realism.
Hey! Have you posted at the www.theclubhouse1.net ? Might be up your alley especially if you are into minis.
Great start! Post more soon!
You may want to post at the www.theclubhouse1.net I think they are more prone to taking commissions. You will have to join the forum though ;)
Nice concept. I am a big fan of The Froud as well. ;)
What stands out immediately to me is the jaw. There is a bulge linked directly from jaw line to the ear lobe. Shaving away some...
What you've acheived is your own creature.. and dude it's flippin' bad ass. I hope you've got your own fire place to mount this puppy!
I love the dragon as well. It is so fluid. The smoothness and your paint job has really made this fantastic. Makes me want to give it a go!
And the dwarf - though it has its flaws - is also...
Please keep us updated. I'm very excited to see this project's progression. Another place to go for suggestions would be the puppetry forum at http://forum.muppetcentral.com/index.php .
Wonderful reply! Thank you.
