Nice new pieces, I really like the metal on the helmet on that one guy. Keep it up.
Keep doing the value stuff on faces and figures. Keep pushing forward.
For the faces, try to...
Oh love your imagination and especially the cyber stuff. Newest one, creepy and well painted, nice :)
Thanks for leaving some words in my sketchbook. :)
Wonderful work. I especially like your stuff from the first page. This show you are not only drawing/painting but you are a real artist! Really...
It's not bad, just do more, browns and flesh have undertones, keep them warm, into the pink. Be careful of yellow or blues. Do 50 more and ask again.
Skin as a lot of subtle variations in its tone; you're kind of jumping between wildly saturated hues, like on the sternocleidomastoid, and completely flat tan. The color will also be largely affected...
I always found this tutorial very helpful when trying to pick skin tones.
Doesn't look like much is "wrong with the sking tones, but if that is a child there would be less tan or orange and more pink probably. Those highlights are way too strong though.
Sorry for the 50 year pause on posting here.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. I've been going full blast on my blog and it's been really picking up steam these last few months. Please check it...
and yeah sketching from life is important :)
First time I've seen your book.
Really liked those drawings on the first page, you've got a varied imagination.
You've made me think that maybe being a bit more brash with your painting would help,...
nurraymjo, kind words, thank you. Just because I don't know anything about digital art doesn't make it a bad choice. The key is, as you say, "Draw like hell!"
Think of you're art a a second job....
All your works inspire so much creativity. I envy you so much! :) Keep up the great work.
Thank you for replying in my tread. Your work is amazing and very creative!
Thank you for stepping by my sketchbook. Sorry, I did not reply earlier: just taking some maternity break from drawing. I use mostly disposable pens Pigma Micron in different sizes...
Nice ink/pen works, post more!
mmm, numbers 71 and 61 are my faves so far. In 71 you have started to use colors in the skin that, while they aren't necessarily skin tones, really compliment the lighting and the "base" tone. I...
You got quite a style of your own coming through with these. I really like how you use black and white, then a shade of blue.
Don't forget to do studies as well. Keep up the good work.
Great work. Your imaginative pieces were great, however the lack of ref and study was the only thing hurting the pieces. Now that you have started using reference pictures your progress is just mind...
Lotsa cool stuff here. You have a clear personal vision, which is too often overlooked these days. Your black and white pen and ink work reminds me a bit of Phillipe Druillet's work. I also see a bit...
Awesome work,really original!Clean lines,nothing to crit IMO!
What kind of pen are you using?(I mean the brand of the pen)
(also,thanks for visiting my sketchbook!)
Thanks again for stopping by my sb,
The face looks much better than what I can do so I'm not quite sure what to say. Maybe the eyes circles look to big but I'm not sure if that was the intention....
Hey man. :)
If this is of any help, I would suggest laying down the basic colours first when digipainting to cover any possible "holes" you might leave on the coloured object. But you did well...
i agree it would be a good idea to fill the background with a neutral colour before you start painting, it's easier to control the colours & values without the influence of he white background :)
Is this a self portrait? Good work so far.
I think you have some confusing lights in there. On the one hand, you have a sense of some Rembrandt lighting (45 degree) from the upper left. On the...
i like the lastest WIP :D nicely done
