Great stuff Kambei! I really like the style you used for the monkey rendering in #3. You should definitely post more of those.
Also love the wip in #16. Looking foward to seeing her finished!...
Nice sense of humour in the lineup, Iiridellia :) Don't feel discouraged posting artwork. However always try to improve little by little and learn something from each picture you draw so that you...
great stuff man! I like your use of colour. The shape of the frog's eyes, seem a little odd to me however and perhaps the neck should follow one smooth motion with the spine.
Superb rendering skills. Very spot on and a pleasure to view!
I'd go with sunny's paintovers. The other examples work nicely too (and may seem more 'natural',) but I find his rendition suits the overall proportions, subject matter and style best. I mean look...
WOW! That was awesome! Thanks for posting that Lena. It really reminds me how much I wish I could have chosen fine art rather than classical animation back in college. Everyone seemed to do such an...
Nicely coloured work! I liked 145 (red girl) and 140 looks awesome.
Neat pic. I would change the posing of her left arm and stick it out. How it appears now, it looks like her hand was originally resting on her hip and the chainsaw added on.
Interesting variety of work. I liked the pieces in post #44. I'm afraid to comment on the lady in the red stockings though - looks like she could kick my ass! :) Oh and love the beakgirl concept! I...
Cool comic work! I liked what you did in post #229. Those shapes are kicking it pokemon style :steph:
I agree with the shading issue. Imo, the neck area should be lightened to push it out and her left trap/shoulder area should be redrawn with a bit more volume. I like the subject matter though :)
I like the first version better. If I were to stick with the second one, I'd colour the tentacle area closer to her roots a wee bit flesh-like since her forehead is rather short.
heiesuke: Yup it is Xara. I thought it was MAC compatible?? :(
I am on a PC. Hopefully they will make one for other platforms because the software is quite sophisticated albeit simple.
Sorry about that! I posted the examples on another forum
and was sucking the bandwidth so I had to upload to another webspace. Unfortunately I put it in the wrong directory. DOh! It should work fine...
looks great! I think the colour kills it though.
It's very difficult to make out the image with so much dark areas :(
besides that, good job!
looks great! maybe add some roots to the bottom or add more branches to the limbs
This has got very nice colours.
The moon is glowing a bit too much though, and the clouds need more variation and depth. You might want to block them out more and give it some 3-dimensional...
Mucho Gracias for the replies guys!
Sammy, Grooveholmes, Lume, NOOSE, Bammer, davi, Payback, Jnorish: Thanks guys! :chug::
murderdoll:: Thanks! Yup it was entirely mouse, but I don't know...
Great detail!! :chug: The top reminds me of robo syringes!!
Wow!! Very dynamic poses!! Great job :chug:
Can Yom be my girlfriend?? :(
This is a character from a vampire concept I've been working on for a while now. Mouse drawn (emulated painted) with vector graphics with final colour tweak in PS. Kinda messed up half way and lost...
fixed some minor issues with the illustration:
cool piece! very reminiscent of those old vaudeville posters! :chug:
Jnorish/enoc: Thanks for the response guys! Glad you like it :chug:
