This is a fantastic idea. It's like the monster version of Fitchenfoo's Industria Mechanika company!
Really hope you guys do well, I might have to pick up one of these statues...any chance to get...
I rather like some of those more recent Jazz pieces, very moody things. If you were to take them to finish I'd love to see you hit one or two areas, maybe just a bit of the face and the hands with...
Oh man, definitely. It seems like a long time coming for that industry to implode on itself. I feel like the recent surge of new, smaller outfits is at least working out well, because I really...
Finally scanned some stuff in from the old sketchbook!
Here's something that I finished up recently. First honest attempt at doing a dinosaur species, so I thought I'd like to do one of my favorite weird ones - Carnotaurus!
I had some...
JStorm: Savannah is nice, though the fall semester can be a bit miserable early on because Savannah is stuck in summer until late November, and their summer is blazingly hot and humid. Combined with...
Setheriel, Karl Schulschenk, dessinateurimpulsif: Thank you all!
JStorm: Definitely make sure you're showing the latest and greatest, but that applies for anytime you're showing a portfolio. You...
Honestly, when it comes to applying to SCAD, they do not require a portfolio. Now, if you're planning on shooting for some scholarships, then yeah, you DO need a portfolio, or exceptional grades, or...
Hey great! JStorm, what are you planning to pursue over at SCAD? I can maybe answer any questions you have if you're planning to head through the Sequential Art major.
Finished the Dryad concept.
Update on the Dryad - final colors, just need to add text. I also have to get around to scanning in some sketchbook pages so I can post them up!
Those Col-Erase pencils are owned by Prismacolor now, by the way. My memory is a bit fuzzy on it, but I think Prismacolor bought out Sanford, so they produce all of their products now.
Unused Dryad Concept for the Artorder Nymph Challenge. Still going to finish it up.
Diamandis: Hahaha, I have no idea, but I'm not bothered. If the work gets better, then the rating goes up. Thanks though for the praise!
So I finally had a chance to try out...
Thanks David79! I'm a big fan of the work you have going on over on your sketchbook.
Some more shit I quickly scanned in, mostly women.
Whoo, been a looooooong time. I need to scan some sketchbook pages to catch up on posting, but in the meantime here's some stuff here and there that I've been doing.
An alternate theory: Duchess Kate has made a pact with someone, and this is her Dorian Gray painting.
Some rough pose ideas for an upcoming dinosaur sculpt I'm planning to sell.
Mr-Joe: I actually haven't used Painter in about a year, maybe a little less than a year. My inkwork now (like the stuff I posted over on the ink thread,) is done with a good old fashioned sable...
I made a set of brush holders for my drafting table out of a piece of craft wood I had left over from a past project and clothespins. Wood glue the clothespin to the skinny piece of board, then I...
Nothing big, just some doodles of ogres and trolls, and some zbrush sketching.
Can't wait to see your stuff in person DPaint! I always like your plein air work.
Looking forward to trying to meet Petar Meseldzija. I'm definitely going to his painting demonstration on...
Whose going this year? This will be my first time checking out Illuxcon - I've got a mix of excitement and nervousness, just because I'll have the chance to see so much great artwork up close and...
Yeah, at the end of the day you look at Lucas' track record and Disney's track record, and you'd put the smart money on Disney putting out a better movie. Out of 4 Star Wars movie that Lucas wrote...
