Dang, you sure you didn't kill a clown and prep him like this? :P Frighteningly real looking man! And like some above, I can feel a slight nausea coming up..
it was in the "it's finally finished" section before :)
Jaw dislocatingly superb! Without the horns I would have believed it was a real person. No critiques! Only awe.
Another excellent piece! Love it!
One thing though, which you may discard if you planned to do it that way, is that she looks a bit asian or exotic to me and not european. Specially in the cheekbone...
Little doodle, sketched and coloured in photoshop cs. Didn't take too long.
voted supervlieg. This guy is hugging most and seems the most incapable of doing any violence to anything. Very nice execution.
Did you use a bunch of custom brushes for the vegetation?
Hum, alrighty. Thanks for setting right my false claim of knowledge, which I really did think to be true :).
Well... stuff appears to be darker when further away then, right? ;).
Arf, there better be checkboxes for voting, else I really won't be able to choose! Some excellent last minute entries and updated wips.
instead of the presentation sheet, you could post individual images to get more detail accross on the screen. Don't be affraid of posting like 6 or 7 pictures.
voted gizmodus for the execution and feel of the piece.
It looks really grand.
Chaos: I don't really feel depth in your piece, which, I think, is partly due to the rather light background. Far...
That looks great indeed, but could you post some bigger pictures, because these are a tad hard to see.
Hi, is this related to 3d work you are going to post?
If not, this might not be the right place to post this. Hope the first is true, would like to see this in 3d. :)
Nice linework! But the hand does seem to be a little off. The top line of the index finger seems to suggest the index finger starts right next to the thumb instead of the middle finger! The finger...
Started working down to the bust. Fleshing it all out:
Thanks a lot for taking the time to post that information, recrisp!
I'm affraid the road to getting better will also teach me to have a lot more patience, the hard way ;)
The horns are indeed...
Thanks for those links Kobold, I'll add em to the start post.
Just bought some new stock of fimo and to my surprise it was rather soft. My previous experience with fimo was that it's quite hard....
Interested to see where you are taking this. The model is a bit hard to follow though, with all the bending and "tangling" going on, not always easy to see what is what.
Quick crit. I think you took the 3d out of her face in that latest update, looks kind of flat now. The hair looks less alive also.
Her left eye seems to be in a somewhat awkward position, maybe...
Took some better daylight pictures today.
Tore off the ears after these pictures, decided to do the separately because the ear membrane is so thin. Adding a bit of a bust now. The collar bone will...
Not sure there are toys that do that. Would be a very complicated toy!
You could use your own body to find out how muscles move with bending stuff. Fast way would be in front of the mirror, but also...
hehe, didn't say he isn't ugly ;)
Update. Dubbed the dude Darf.
Had a hard time deciding on how and where to put more detail. Not to speak of the wrinkles, still fighting those. Not totally happy with those yet.
It's all a big...
Very nice although I am not too blown away by the face. I think it looks a little baby face like, I would expect a more fierce look, but that's probably just a personal feeling :). Very well executed...
looks nice, are you working with a maximum amount of polygons? If not I'd go for a way higher poly count, as he looks a bit blocky now in certain areas.
His leg protectors look a bit...
