Hi! You've certainly improved from the first page :) If you want any advice, I'd suggest reading some art study books and looking at other artists in addition to doing photo studies. That way you...
Moi! Very nice studies, especially on the environments. I love the painterly style where I can see the brushstrokes. I'd like to see more imaginary stuff from you as well.
You're a huge source of inspiration! Thanks a lot for those process breakdowns you posted on the paintovers for posterity thread! Good stuff.
Hi! Your studies look nice and I like your character designs, but I think you should work more on your lines. The last post with the ship/vehicle sketch shows that your lines are quite wobbly and...
The teaparty illustration looks great! Hope to see more stuff like that from you. :)
Awesome sculpts! Your 2d skills seem to be catching up as well. Keep on working!
Hi, Kevin! I like your character design stuff alot, but I think you should try to do more with them. You already can render them pretty well, but give them some action and dynamics. Anyway, nice work...
Geez, you're so good with colors! That's something I need to work on. Keep it up, man!
Moar full figures, creatures, industrial, environments! Expand!
Amazing. I'd kill for your skills. Hail from Finland!
Hi! The last pages of your sketchbook show some pretty immense improvement. You're definitely on the right track. Just keep on studying and you'll get there. :)
The fireplace study looks great! Nice build up of colors. Those figure drawings look good too, but some of the poses drawn from different angles seem a bit flat. For example, when drawing the torso,...
Some stuff I've done recently:
@ Mewball: I don't feel like I'm ready to make more finished stuff yet, but I'm working on it. :)
@ apa: Thanks for the confidence boost!
More marker stuff:
Mech/robots or something (I think I...
@ jablar: Thanks!
Ballpoint pen stuff:
Marker & multiliner quickies from imagination (just trying out stuff):
Bears = awsum
Here come the ugly birds:
Yeah, I mean like drawing the line of action at first, then building the figure by using the basic forms, and in that way creating the outline of the figure.
Sketched this dude today. It's got flaws all over it, but at least I managed to draw something from my imagination. Gimme some critique on it. :)
You have a very strong sense of style. Those last three quick paintings are very cool. :) I think your more finished paintings aren't quite as nice. Maybe you should try to achieve that stylized look...
Hi! Nice start with your sketchbook, but I think you should take a step back from the figure drawing and practice drawing basic forms (sphere, cube, cone, cylinder) in different perspectives. When...
The last portrait looks fine, but I think you're right about that "human copying machine" thing. I used to be like that, but recently I've come to realize that I learn more if I simplify things and...
Very nice studies! I should get more into perspective as well. Been avoiding it for too long. Thanks for commenting on my sketchbook. :)
That's some impressive stuff, man! How do you get such accurate line drawings? Like with the motorcycles. I feel like I have to draw a line ten times before it hits the spot. And by that time it's...
Nice sketchbook! Very solid style and some fun designs. I wish I had such confidence in my original work.
