Thank you for sharing, Mentler. Your works are both an inspiration and a goal for me.
Awesome posters. Love your style and the quirky take on the old-fashioned posters
Some awesome works guys! It was a difficult round and y'all are a whole lot braver than I am - kudos for entering! :yayca:
I voted -
Beginner: Mythril_Golem - he is dejected and looks like he...
Lovely, Lovely animals! Pimp Shrimp?! Oooh Baby :yum: The hippo is just delicious too!
Awesome work, sir :sungod:
Your werewolf looks a little too much like a meerkat to be scary
even a rabid meerkat would have trouble looking intimidating...
To me the most obvious issue is the fact that her head and headdress is not facing the same way. Her crown (snake skull) is in profile, while her face is turned three quarters.
I like the...
bigMikey got my vote. Creepy... imagine that sucker crawling down the chimney on Christmas.
Rex's was beautifully done and the story is great, but I think the animal is too proud to be...
I love the way you told the story with such limited and economical lines. It is beautiful and the plainness of the drawings add to the strength of a very ordinary event told with great emotion.
Interesting pieces. To me the third one is technically the best of the lot - as far as overall appearance and technique is concerned.
I do have an issue with her pose and facial expression,...
Awesome stuff! Your works are just amazing.
It has to be one of those cheap ass Halloween costumes :D
Your Batman is way cool.
That fire lion is really awesome! Your works all have a wonderful atmosphere and the way you use light and color is superb.
Beautiful, beautiful pieces! It was so hard to pick just a few. Great job to all who entered.
The ones that stood out to me were: The 12 brothers, the princess & the pea, the princess & the...
What a totally inspirational thread. Thank you so much for sharing.
I just spent the better part of today reading and watching your progression. I know many have said this before, but what you...
This was a kick-ass round - beautiful works all around! I voted for Matthias. She is rough, tough and enterprising. Very "Rosie the Riveter"
The river (? purple smudge?) on the right of the picture could use some reflections of the tall buildings to liven it up a little. Maybe also add some light reflections & subtle outlines on the...
It has a nice dynamic to it, but the guy's right arm is too long and skinny (specifically the forearm & cuff area) with a tiny hand. Ditto on artina's light comment
Your fire and water effects are totally amazing. The fire snake has to be the best fire I have seen - ever. The asphalt worm with the rider is almost reminiscent of Dune.
Your "Pirates" piece is delightful! So much detail - there is something new every time I look at it :groupie2:
Have to agree with Koldmilk - the structure/anatomy of your animal is indistinct. It reminds me of those plastic wire figurines with no clear joint structure
Very cool works! The details are just astounding!
The really dark shadows under her jaw makes it look like her head is detached. I like the way you painted her torso - it looks like you enjoyed that part and really paid attention to it. The curves...
Love, love, LOVE the Blade #5! <3
This is the epitome of awesomeness, I swear.
The rest of your dump is beyond wonderful....
Who'd have thought a mermaid with an "outie" navel could be so utterly precious :teeth:
Alice got my vote. Different style and great imagination make the creature plausible. Others that stood out for me: VegasMike, Jakkas & Lenorekitty.
Beautiful work as always! :yayca:
