Hey folks, I haven't posted here for a long time but in the last 6 months I learnt digital painting and I thought some of you may appreciate the results.
For a UK band. They were very specific with what the image should contain and look like, was a fun project.

A lot of these transcend their milieu and jump right into beautiful.

Nice strong stuff. I think one of the things you have going is a good sense of 'character' (for want of a better word) in the images.
Great. I like the effect of putting vivid colour over a dark base.
The blacks are tech pen and ink, the fire and fog is painted on with gouache.
Here's a couple of pages from an A5 sketchbook. If anybody is interested I used rotring pens and copic fineliners for the drawings.
I like working with technical pen because of the density you can get.
This was drawn on a bristol board offcut that is slightly smaller than A4.
I agree, the ink pictures are really strong and have a cogent internal logic in them. I could read a whole book of the storyboards.
