It's hard to write about these things right after finishing them. I chose this one because I love Leyendecker's geometric brush strokes and I wanted to take a closer look at them. When I was...
I did a Japanese woodblock print study tonight. This is one of Hiroshige's 36 Views of Mount Fuji, #29 if the numbering of the files on my hard drive is to be trusted. I chose this one...
Hey all, here's a couple more.
I picked this one because it's one of the most iconic shots in film history. I think it's successful because of how minimalist it is. I'm not sure if...
Yeah, I saw the inaccuracies in the drawing with the last one. I should have corrected it before starting to go into value. Maybe I didn't see it until I started with value? Who knows, probably just...
Hey Jason, thanks for the critique. I agree that mine is rather soft. I could see that much more clearly when I put them next to each other in the frame.
Here's my second study. I chose a still...

Do we need to RSVP anywhere? Do we need a SXSW badge or anything?
I like Dropbox for this. http://www.dropbox.com I sync files between a Windows XP desktop, a Macbook, a Linux desktop, and can even get files off my iPhone. Real easy. Just takes a lot of time...
I've been doing paintings on gessoed hard board. Works well, doesn't bow. It comes in 2x4 sheets, which I have them cut in 3rds. I get three 16x24 surfaces for $3.50.
Here's a few of my favorites:
Lords of Acid- VooDoo-U
Nine Inch Nails- Further Down the Spiral
Are you sure you should be bitching about your job on an industry website? I assume your screen name is your real name. Maybe the drinking after 3 on Friday isn't so good after all.
