Thanks for the kind words idenzel.
More from my sketchblog:
Back after a several month haitus. Here's a selection of stuff from this summer and some very recent from my blog:
trying some digital painting again
These are all great, I'm especially fond of complex-looking robot concepts, and the ones in your most recent post are awesome!
How often do you draw and for how long? (+ all of Suprore's...
Would it be better to start a new sketchbook thread? I resurrected this one from 3 years ago because it was still here and due to my participation in other threads, had recently received comments. ...
Added Alizarin Crimson and Yellow Ochre to my gouache palette, tried some value scales and noodled a bit on the other page, loving gouache! It's so opaque!
I love your female faces in this last post! They all carry so much personality, don't look like the typical comic-book cliche of a woman at all. You're certainly getting more life-drawing done than...
Starting playing with MyPaint the last few days, has some really great-feeling pencil brushes.
Got a tiny moleskin!
And started playing with gouache under prismacolors:
Couple more photoshop paint-ups of old sketches. More studies coming soon, have a batch that needs scanned yet.
Couple of faces done in Painter
andres333: Yep, that's what I'm doing now, working on anatomy, doing short drawings from random nudes here and here
Most of this batch is the remainder of the one sketchbook; sad thing is they're...
Couple of paint attempts in photoshop
MOAR old stuff:
Shy90d, Sammy Dee: Thanks for the kind words!

Long time no post! Time to remedy that...
A Compilation of doodles from an older sketchbook
Just more random doodles I hadn't posted yet.
Keep at those anatomy studies! I see loomis, bridgeman, and Ron Lemen's awesome Reilly method abstractions in there, and I think that's where you're stuck a bit; the best looking studies look like...
Your drawing isn't bad at all.. painting in photoshop just takes practice, and some big adjustments compared to working traditionally. Here's some tutorials to point you in the right direction:
Is that all 2d matte paintings? How exactly did you put that together?
I liked it, would be interested in knowing what software you used to composite the camera move
Can you post some scans of your drawings? The pros here are very visual people, and usually jump in right away when theres pictures to look at.
I don't use painter alot... but I assume it has a clone stamp equivalent... or even if you were to take a feathered-edge selection from the middle of your paper texture, and copy it over your edge,...
A few freebies from ImagineFX:
rom the Art Materials Palette, select Pattern, then select Define Pattern
then all tools, including cloners, will wrap around the edges automatically.
Bobby Chiu has a couple good ones, and lots of other artists too... do a couple searches for 'speed paint' or just 'photoshop' at youtube & metacafe. You'll find what you're looking for.
