Since .NIB and .STK files (used to be, at least) JPG files, I wonder if we could just create them?
It wouldn't be worth the effort unless a single pair of images would do the trick for each...
I'm using Painter 12.1 (22.214.171.1240) in Windows 7 64 bit.
I've only tested this with one of three Rob Chang brush libraries backed up on my external hard drive, way back when...
They won't appear inside Painter until you load them.
Check Help menu > Help Topics to learn how as each item is loaded in its own way.
I'm using Windows 7 64 bit with Painter 12.1 and the latest Update installed (12/1/0/1250)
On the CD, in the Extras folder, you'll see a sub-folder named Brushes.
I thought it might be that the Glazing Round and Flat variants used Method Buildup, but neither does, not in Painter 12 brush library or in the Painter 11 brush library. The Glazing Round uses...
If you want to keep Digital Watercolor wet and editable using other Digital Watercolor brush variants, don't use the Dry Digital Watercolor command.
If you no longer need to keep...
Chris did a great job of explaining and illustrating all that.
Appreciate all his hard work producing these blog tutorials.
I'd probably just have said,
Go to the Brush Controls palette...
I'd like to add my thanks to both Arshes for the referral and to you for your kind words about PixelAlley.
It's been quite a while since I updated that site and it's in serious need...
You might want to read my post again as I was editing it when you posted your last message.
See the links I added, then explore the other tutorials at PixelAlley. Even though they...
Using Corel Painter, the term Jitter is used for something different in the Brush Controls panel. In this situation, the correct terms are Color Variability panel's HSV sliders.
Let's stick to...
Hi again, DanValkar,
JoeC posted a link to another thread at The PainterFactory that looks like it might contain the answer you're looking for. It's in your thread.
The feature you want to use is Effects menu > Esoterica > Auto Clone.
Here are the steps I would use:
1. Open an image (or photo).
Hi Mac users,

I think you'll enjoy learning Painter 11. Do find some good forums where you can ask questions. That's really a necessity as full Painter versions can be somewhat overwhelming at first.
First, always remember to specify Painter Essentials 4.
"Painter 4" is misleading since, without the word Essentials, one might think you're talking about a full Painter version, not a...
The only glitch I've found so far (installed the SP1 patch about 1-1/2 hours ago) is that when I open Edit menu > Preferences > Customize Keys, the Application Menus drop down list is frozen!
Speaking of Painter's terminology, the "brush palette" you and Arshes are talking about is not called that.
The correct name for the Palette that's opened using Ctrl+B (Windows) or...
What about people who change their minds and want to add another color below the top layer?
That would present a dilemma what with unwanted colors that would first need to be carefully...
It's easy to confuse the two palette names:
Brush Controls palette
Brush Selector palette
If you think about it, their names are self explanatory either control or select brushes.
As long as the Canvas or any underlying Layer is white, you'll pick up white when Pick Up Underlying Color box is checked (enabled).
For Joe's suggested solution to work the way you want, you'll...
In Painter 12:
1. Choose a color.
2. Hold down the Ctrl key (Windows) or the Command key (Mac) and click the swatch where you want he color to appear.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and...
Agreement from me as well, providing the artist didn't do any extreme changes to the default variant. Unlikely, as he/she seems to prefer fairly simple brushes.
I created an Oil Pastels sampler...
Republishing anything done by another person or group is not a good idea unless you have prior written permission to republish.

Do you mean Program Manager Andy Church?
Also, where did you learn about the Mac 64 bit release, and when?
Thanks for the info.
Mac users will be happy!
