Out of interest can someone tell me why the first war was called of?

Nice job on the value studies, they look awesome
The main problem I can see with the portrait Is that the forhead looks to small. The eyes are usually around halfway on the head.

as for shadows in perspective the only thing I can say is have a go. It definitely took me several goes before I began to understand it, and I still having...
nice work, The perspective looks much better in these.
Maybe you could try ruling the perspective lines?
