Cool. So, do you work in 72 dpi or what?
Is the paintover digital watercolor?
Very nice as always. You should make posting your bedtime sketches a habit.
That's a really good point. Thanks for the heads up! (and thanks everyone else for their comments).
This is great, and refreshing subject matter. A bit too many fetuses and demons on these boards sometimes methinks.
The only crit would be that it took me a while to notice the snowball, maybe it...
Dunno, what's a Dickie? :)
Right, two character designs done in two different styles by me. Here's hoping Photobucket treats them well.
Nice Venom redesigns Davi. Try to push them even more! Give us an idea on what the texture of the costume would be like.
(Btw, that first Venom image isn't by Ramos or Young, it is by Francisco...
Leo, this digital coloring looks much better than the previous Copic marker version. Do you see yourself abandoning the poor Copics forever sometime in the future?
That's interesting. I love Iain's stuff as well- but I thought Dermots stuff was great. Very nice stuff. And IIRC it wasn't markers, but 100% digital. Can't wait for the Ep III art book.
Must they really? I've seen plenty of examples of character turnarounds for 3d modeling that has the arms down, slightly raised from the body, not the Da Vinci pose.
What's the most common? What...
Very nice. It's quite hard to give any constructive critique to so highly stylised artwork, but it works in my book. I like the coloring.
They were on tour in europe a couple of years ago, so I'm sure they (or most of them) still exist. I was lucky enough to get to see them live. Amazing stuff indeed.
Yeah, you can see two concepts by him for Tabula Rasa over at Gamespy. Cool stuff!

Avoiding muddy paintings:
The solution to MUD is simple. If the value is correct and your color choice is correct then it is one of two things that is making it muddy....
Been lurking for more than a year now, figured it was time to register and post some... thought I'd start with something constructive and repost Jason's great notes in the old Sijun Color theory...
