elwell - i COMPLETELY didn't notice the animal nose thing until you mentioned it. i have no idea how i missed it, but it bugs me now whenever i look at it. ha ha.

wow, i wish i would've found this thread sooner. i'm in first year illustration at sheridan, adn it's cool to find other people from the same program on CA. (just who is in 1st yr. illustration...
mike got my vote, with runners up being snarfevs and standing. the mettalic legs on snarfevs just threw me off too much.
i ran out of time, so i couldn't quite get the shiny effect i wanted on the shell. also looking at it now too, the shadow on the ground is very unconvincing.

this game owns my life.
i think the blue backgrounds in the first two (especially in the second) is really oversaturated, to the point where it takes the focus off the subject. try toning it down a bit.
there's a pretty weak reflection in the cup of tea closest...keyword, weak.
