Awesome work, Pete. Your buddy Lach shared your blog on DLF, love it. Plump mondays are totally classic.
Hey all, I'm currently representing Australia at the San Francisco POD.
I thought I'd take up the local customs so I'm living off burritos and neglecting the metric system. All from the comfort...
Man I didn't even catch the Siamese "Boxer" Spider in sketchbook class. Did they show it? I've been so caught up in the house-moving actions that my in-class attention has been...
Hey, it caught my eye that you're in Perth. I'm actually from Perth as well, but am currently in the US.
Anyway, thought you may be interested in this sketch group some friends and I started this...
Refreshing work! Love it. The concept design of elements in the first piece feels familiar but not quite like anything I've seen before. It looks like a scene from a really teched up Ghibli film....
Just watched the on demand. Some great insights in there, and what a lineup of speakers!
Thanks for putting it together, look forward to meeting you guys at the workshop!
Cool paintings, Jason. Really like the 3rd one. It totally draws me in, great work!
Awesome drop, Min! Lovely use of colour and really hot brushwork.
Love the concept, Liam! There's a definite sense of mystery.
Might be nice to see the crows' silhouettes pop out a bit more (especially the one landing), either by lightening the base of the tree...
Well played, thanks for posting :)
Good to see what's cranking over that way - Great work!
Hello sir, you've got some cool stuff I haven't seen before in here!
Anyway, thought I'd pop in and be sociable. heh
Take it easy,
You've got a really fresh, dynamic style! I love it.
Just making my way through your blog now. Awesome work, welcome to CA :)
Great thread, Yoitisi! Lovin your industrial designs.
Love the costuming and use of colour, plus it has some cool narrative elements. She has a lot of personality.
Even though you took a bit of liberty with her proportions I think it...
I found CA.org in 2005, at the tail end of my graphic design degree. All I knew was that I didn't want to be a graphic designer. I wanted to create things for videogames, but the last time I'd drawn...
Hmmm... My posing is quite bland. Also, I should probably add some pants... lol
Anyway, here's a WIP.
Holy hell, awesome plushie!
This thread is gold.
Nice portraits, Mel. Great eye and hair rendering. You like big eyes, don't you? ; >
Oh hai! I hail from the future...
3 years and 5 days beyond the previous post, even.
So, here in the future I'm quite fond of painting rough and fast... Mainly with Painter. I love the way it...
Added final image to the first post.
Thanks arttorney, really appreciate that. Wasn't familiar with Rayonism before, but it's an interesting concept. Cheers!
I think I'm getting pretty close to being done with this one:
Hot damn. Love the new images, especially The Turning.
Thanks, Luci Fer.
Haven't forgotten about this... Here's an update:
Hey njoo, awesome character design! Hope you don't mind me posting a hacky paintover though - I thought the legs looked a bit awkward. I initially read it as if the leg behind was actually coming...
Pleased with where this is headed... Sketched in a tree, which seems to balance it out better, and I've made it vaguely resemble a hand reaching up. Consistent theme, anyone?
