My impression is that if you respond to a thread, you get notifications, but if you check those notifications and don't reply, you won't get any further notifications. Which isn't great if you've got...
I can't speak for anyone else, but IMO it is best to use classical, older paintings because the best ones survive; the ones riddled with terrible mistakes tend to get filtered by time and so don't...
Slowing down is a weakness of mine, too. Good to see you taking the time to do things right -- keep it up! It does get easier as you get used to going slower.
... Now to slink off back underneath...
I have a file where, every time I get an idea for drawing, I write it down. So when I feel like drawing from imagination, I pick an idea on the list. :)
Keep up your practice!
Minella: Hopefully! :D And thank you!
Fell off the ball with the art camp partway through due to Life, so I'm going through the course again, only it'll be slower. :) Still, slow and...
Damn right. People can't stand it when their enemies go on with their lives, especially when they succeed.
It takes a lot of strength to weather that kind of crap in silence, especially with the...
Guess who's back? Back again! :D Tron is back! Tell a friend!
Your art's really evolved. No crit for now, other than that I hope you post more finalised things soon. :) Looking forward to more!
Ack! What happened to your arm, was it strain? :( Have you tried heatpacks? I hear heat's better for strains and so on, where ice is better for injuries where the skin's broken.
You're working really hard on the fundamentals. :D Keep it up!
Take my opinion with a grain of salt 'cause I'm no good at anatomy, but -- I imagine it would be best to do human anatomy first, since human anatomy is such a big part of art. Animal anatomy is so...
Got my desk set up just in time for the power to cark it.
Back, now. Here's some scan fodder -- more Hampton, want to really nail him down.
Feel like I could have spent more time on these...
Don't really have much to show for my time away from my main comp. I did a whole bunch but a lot of it was garbage. Anyway, my desk, bed and comp are all set up now. Still have to finish redecorating...
Good to see your nose is still to the grindstone. :)
Just a bit of advice -- everything's kinda starting to look the same. Don't forget to branch out! Experiment a little. Take some time just to...
Oh wow, you have been busy. Keep up the studies!
You need to use bigger brushes! Use the biggest brush possible, the study looks a bit scribbly and using bigger brushes will help with that. :)
No art again, just an update --
Just got an email from the entertainment design course. I didn't get in. D: Oh well, next year I'll try again and blow their socks off. I'm on a waiting list while...
Glad to see thanks is back.
I don't understand why the new theme has gone live when it's not finished. It makes the place look rather broken, and I agree that the related threads thing throws one...
Oh wow, you have been busy since I've last stopped by. :D Keep it up man, and watch those proportions!
Hey, liking those sketches from that project. Also like the tombstone pic.
No crit for now, just keep on working and posting!
Ecki -- Thanks heaps for the crit! :D I'll get to setting up a still life once things are under control here, and get to it.
Revidescent -- Thanks!
Avon -- Thank you!
JuliaMetzger -- Thanks!...
That meme is astounding, you're really starting to hit your stride. :) Keep pushing on!
Those skulls were a great idea. :) Good work with them.
Keep those studies up, you're doing well. :) No crit to offer yet, just keep going!
Hey, you've improved a fair bit. :) Keep it up with those studies! At this stage it's best to just grind things out.
Also hey, another Art Camper! I'm finding it so difficult to keep up with the...
