hey void! he good model drawing, and I see you started with some basic shapes in there. I'd suggest doing that a lot, as such nice things as your crazy pirate cook and the creature suffer a bit from...
@intothevoid- great to hear! Having some color issues lately :D ye I need to finish those portraits. Away from my cintiq/ home-computer right now so it’ll have to wait a while :/ (hope I can get...
true, true. still, even not having a clear idea of what to take away, asking yourself 'why isnt this working yet', can definitely increase your understanding. aah. lol. not to turn your thread into a...
have to disagree vehemently on that, guerrero. I guess it could be argued that if one knows what to study, one can just work on that bit from the piece and move on. but I dont think Misty had much...
wow you are working hard! enjoyed the figures with diametric lines. other figures sometimes loose their 3d feel. dnt forget about fitting stuff into boxes or using ball-shapes!
hmm I dunna misty; bridgeman's look good, but are you sure you understand what's going on when considering all 3 dimensions? you might need to focus on basic perspective some more.
real nice use of color& light. in most pieces I think you should have left a little less to the imagination; but great stuff; wish I could do what you're doing!
real great job on that last one! having trouble telling which is which.
I have to disagree on the polar bear attacking. it looks like the dogs are giving as good as they are getting. also,...
great progress and great attention to detail. love the female gunslinger. the portrait, I think you should get rid of that hard line dividing chin/jaw and neck.
good model drawing session black! hands could use a bit of attention, but nice overall!
really enjoy those strong, staccato lines you use to describe your form... hmm now I wanna do it like that too :p
good going misty!
I think you need to draw the whole skull though, with the faces. you need the reference for the placement of the parts.
asking again! I'd pm, but that's not working I think.
yeah its the same idea, but looking thought the mirror is such a hassle, have to hold either the mirror or the drawing. heh. indeed, technology ricks.
a little trick I've been using for a while when doing traditional and works pretty well is set up the piece (with a fine line), then scan and mirror the image. It'll make mistakes soo much...
@misty Thanks! And thanks for stopping by time and again and encouraging me!
@Darkstride- haha yeah; that’s it. I wish; I always like Rembrandt’s drawing far more than his paintings. I mean I know...
hmm so I think I have about 1 or 2 month's of subscription left, so I need to get some moar. can I like, buy it now when I still get the 30% off or do I have to wait until I run out?
hmm it does look great... but isnt it a little too big? and wide maybe. ah, you can probably still transform it now; I'd do that.
hi darknight! not a bad first try, I'd say. might have pushed the shadows harder and the neck does look very think. well, you can always make a few more... they're fun!
kind of like doing the weird angles. this is about 3h. worked upside-down most of it, so maybe I should post it like that. that's what I got in the mirror, after all.
and a quick ix...
hah. clever tricks to not miss a day of drawing:
-vow not to draw all week.
-promise yourself not to draw before finishing a Very Important Task (like, your tax forms, or taking care of the...
he bah, donderdag is mijn karate avond. is het elke week?
aah. ik zie het al. 10 juli de volgende. maar die haal ik dan weer niet vanwege de vakantie. misschien daarna hoor. wel jammer; n...
I honestly dont know how I got that ear value... I thought I'd measured that.
when I looked at it again later, I figured that I'd proably only chnaged that value and neglected to do the...
you missed some good drawing Bas!
