The amount of hate in this thread is astounding.
I agree that the gun feels pasted in. To me it feels a little too small, perhaps even too dark as if it is not being effected by the same light as the girl.
Very true! :D
Call this one finished, and move on.
For the next one, get better reference, and study it as you draw. Make alot of small sketches to deside on a good pose. Practice painting skin and fabric.
Yes these are nice for drawings on notebook paper, but you could improve alot faster if you did "plan to be a great artist." Get some good pencils, some decent paper, and get to it.
The large furry area of the creature on the first image is bothering me. Maybe you could break up that space with some sort of straps/harness, or other detail.
Overall your rendering and color...
Looking good, I like the improvments.
You are using the same diagonals over and over. You could throw in some horrizontals to balance it out. Maybe place some at the center of interest to creat...
If he is in the process of pulling up a fish, you should really push the tension in his arms and the rope. Right now it looks like there is nothing pulling against him. Make the rope taught, maybe...
I haven't seen the movie so I don't know if it's appropriate, but seems to me like the samurai could be more prominent. I understand that you may have placed them low in the composition to allow for...
Remember to work general to specific.
Fix proportions and perspective issues before adding any details.

Some of you are just looking for things to cry about.
A nice tutorial from Daarken here:

wow that's really great! You've got a nice portfolio piece.
Oh I see. I never was a fan of that type of assignment.
Your rendering looks good.
It depends on the set-up, but if you could lay in some drop shadow(if there is any actually there), it can...
Interesting and nice colors, but..
The composition seems a little awkward. That dark area around the door is really dividing the image. I don't feel any connection between the character at the...
I'd say, go over the water with a hard-edged brush. Draw in some of the ocean spray and highlight some drops of water.
I don't quite understand what is happening with the stems at the lower right, nor the dark spot at the center of the other flowers.
Woh, this is really great! I would say most everything is pretty solid.
You could push the lighting a bit more, have some more contrast. It really depends on the mood you are going for, but I...
Unless you can key different finger prints as hotkeys, I don't really see how this would help while painting. I guess i'd have to try it.
My graphic design classes are simply depressing.
I love the mood and atmosphere of the second one. Your dragon is very unique.
If it's 4+ years old, you would be pretty safe just getting a new one rather than trying to upgrade parts.
If your tablet does have pressure sensitivity, you can turn it on in the brush setting. Still if it is an older model, you should certainly upgrade.
There is truely a world of a difference...
