The anatomy around the suprasternal notch is nicely rendered. This is one of my favorite areas to draw/ paint.

Some of you may know of david kassan, he posts here from time to time. He is hosting a great figure drawing class in NYC on Wednesday nights. I went last night and it was a good time.

Both are charcoal with ink washes. 22" x 30" paper.
The relationship between the top of the ear and the head wrap is done very well. The ear is there, with just a small hint of shadow.

My eyes go immediately to the boots and not much else. They have the strongest value on the page and they are dominating everything else.
Either bring up the values on the uniform or knock back...

I like the older work that shows how you build on your sketch with the markers in a very painterly fashion. These have a nice solid look to them.
