Scrapped the old pic and started on a new one after not getting anywhere with it. I decided to use the pose for a stand-alone sticker. I started this a while back after the last round of crits.
Ironflowers & RomanRiot: Thanks! Both of you are right. I was going for her using the water as an element, but it does look terribly distracting. I think I'll go for swirling around her this time....
Started painting this chibi/super-deformed character last week, based off of a 3d model I did during my last year in school seen here: http://www.kyahillart.com/p/3d-stills.html.
In agreement with nofu.
I would say to not rush through it. This is not a final piece to me. It looks incomplete because you rushed through it. Parts of the bg color can still be seen through it,...
Ha! Thanks! Now I just need to complete some pieces...
I use my real name since it would eventually help me stand out. You could go with Iris Madelina or Iris Madeline if you don't want to use your last name in promos. Or Apostolescu-arts. Either way it...
Really neat stuff!
I love the owl and the ram! I like your use of shapes and color.
I haven't been receiving any notifications to my email. Is it because of the move to the new server? I checked the settings and they're same I had before the site updated.
I'm not understanding your logic. If you didn't want them to be recognizable in any way, why choose established characters and not create original characters? Or was that in your assignment?
Were these designs meant to be fashion designs inspired by the characters? My main problem was the outfits you designed after knowing that these were for the characters who are villains...
I like it, its very nice. I would give her a little more muscle in her arms, especially if she's toiling away with mechanical parts.
I wasn't very clear in my last post, if you're redesigning established characters and need to have the name there, your design isn't working. Yes the latest pic still has problems and Banana is...
If you have to have the names there so people can know who the character is, your design isn't working. I should be able to look at these redesigns and know who they're supposed to be. I agree with...
Wow!! I love the sorcerer lady in the first post! Very inspiring stuff you have here. I also love your pencil sketches!
I like 2a. Gives us a mortal's view looking up at her, enough bg with the mural of what she's supposed to look like and then what she actually looks like.
Random sketches from July of 2011 to the other day. Most of these are done at work when I have lots of down time.
Same for me.
Your new sketch looks more like a hill in the woods/country side than a garden. Usually gardens are flat and sectioned. How did you envision this? Do you have anymore sketches?
An 8 year old rottweiler, whiny but very affectionate and silly. And she definitely changed my mind about the breed!
I liked how this came along! I know you're done with this but the crotch area isn't reading well to me.
Love the colors! The armor, Ice crystal and the charcoal hand are my faves so far.
Sketch of Youko Kurama. Just something to get me back into drawing.
I would say keep the happy puppy too. Current one looks like he's expecting something. Don't they all?
