The windows cintiq companion is considered just another windows machine, so you do not get any additional free licenses of software, I'd imagine. This will depend on the vendor. Amazon creative cloud...
I just ordered a companion hybrid, much for the same reason. I also do a lot of traveling and teaching (not a professional artist, I'm a technical instructor) and I use a tablet for online/in-person...
Assignment 1a from sickbrush's fantastic daggers course, archived at crimson daggers
Figure drawing @ kline academy in LA. 2x3hr sessions. Didn't quite get to finish it as much as I'd have liked.
Quick sketch in painter from reddit.com/r/redditgetsdrawn/
My friend asked me to do a cartoony illustration of a guy with his shirt open over a big belly, with a mustache, and flipflops in his 40s for his blog where he's planning on going to all the...
Need to do a sketchdump soon, I've done a decent amount of stuff lately but haven't uploaded it.
This was done as an experiment with the free linux program "mypaint" and I was pretty surprised....
Some quick figure sketches from pixel lovely
Sit #3 from a figure drawing class @ kline academy in LA. Each sit is 3hrs, minus breaks.
It's so strange how you can draw something and think, "oh this is coming out fairly well" and then go back and look at it an hour later and think - holy crap what the hell happened to her arm?!...
3 sketches from a life drawing session at the one eyed gipsy in los angeles.
Life drawing work in progress 2nd sit of 4.
Good start. Keep it up!
Glad I stumbled upon your sketchbook tonight. It's pretty amazing how drastic the beginning and end of your sketchbook is. I'm in a similar position to where you started, except about two years...
These are all really nice sketches, but I feel like they're all still a bit unfinished. Maybe try working on pieces a bit longer and bringing them to a finer polish? Keep it up!
Really like this one. Came out very nicely.
I just woke up from a dream where I was on a plane next to scott robertson and was explaining how my parents talked me out of doing art and now I'm going back and working on it at 34, and how I...
Seems like the permanent hangout is working; maybe we should replace the link in the CA top bar with one that goes directly to the hangout instead of this thread.
Thanks for checking out my sketchbook. Turns out I was mistaken and it actually won't. :) Here's a good explanation of how to do it correctly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB3UEpxFlj8
I like that you're focusing on lighting and form studies. I felt like in (especially) some of your earlier work, there's a "flatness" to your images where the faces and characters don't pop quite as...
Welcome! Nicely done, and great choice of subject matter.
This sketchbook is pretty inspirational. It's interesting to look at the first posts and the most recent ones, and how it's gone from really clinical clean lines to super, super loose. Fantastic.
Really nice stuff. I noticed a couple of instances where the forearms on some of your characters seem to be rotated oddly inward. It's pretty subtle, but you might want to keep am eye out for that. ...
My hands are sore from drawing these 50 Hands.
