Thanks for the help. Will check out that video when I got some time. Sure I'll have a look at your studio, link me up!
Beautiful and diverse work! Had great pleasure viewing it all. Cant wait to see more!
Definately look into buying the Jason Chan and Marko Djurdjevic tutorials from Massive Black.
Bunch of videos reflecting on the character design process here.
Thank you, its been difficult coming up with a semi-original twist! Yes, post-apocalyptic but perhaps also post-distopian? Perhaps society has reached a functioning stability?
To be honest at this...
I am currently in my final year at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. I am investigating a year long project that will attempt to design a post apocalyptic world inhabited by...
Good stuff man, seeing improvements in your rendering and figures from imagination. Good way to do it do, splitting imagination with studies. Keep it crankin dude.
Thanks Dave :)
Yeah, most likely illustration. You the same?
Studies and some sort of rogue bow man?
Christmas present for the parents. Doesn't really mean anything, just fun to do something random.
Been doing Bridgman studies lately. I think it was the right choice to switch from Loomis to Brigman, more emphasis on understanding form. Here are some of the studies and a sketch I did today.
Way to indicate form with those lines! Cleeeaaan.
Really hit a brick wall today with the body studies. Struggling to construct a body that seems to fit together. Also perspective bothers me. Anyways, will keep at it tomorrow.
Figuring out the...
Beautiful colours and I love how selective you are with where you place your marks in the life poses.
Thanks for stropping by my workbook! Much appreciated words of motivation.
You have an awesome variety of studies going on and it appears both your painting and sketching is improving. Good...
Couple of head studies and a shoddy body perspective page. Will get back into figure studies tomorrow, focus less on the head for a bit.
Wow, love the technicality in your pencils. Awesome poses in there too!
Yar I think I see what you mean... I do have issues getting the angle right, especially with the head construction... and just looking back the bodys as well. Thanks man!
Hey Mr Juicy. Sounds good, but sorry, what exactly is skewing?
Im enjoying painting in grayscale. Learning values.
Fantastic rendering and imagination with your sketches :)
I'm staying at my parents at the mo for part of the summer break. Totally broke so I figured I would try paint them something for Christmas. Their house is by a stream with an awesome amount of ducks...
Thanks zal :)
Just trying to progress through the Loomis Head and Body books at the mo. Need to do something creative soon though.
Really like the textures and skin tones in the first one. The strong angles of the legs also work really well.
Cool style man!
