You got the colours really well. I think this one looked easier than it was!
another challenge: Sun Guardian.
About an hour. Used two brushes: oil medium wet edges, and watercolour heavy pigments. Got trapped in the usual thing of not being able to ignore the face & making a pigs ear of it.
One hour. Used 'oil medium brush wet edges' from PS defaults.

Thanks TheDecline! Still working on it .. the textures are a mixture, I've thrown all sorts of stuff on it, including a couple of brushes I made from photos of rock textures, on a layer with multiply...
I really like this character, not just the great detail on the face and armour (and that even his custom armour seems slightly big for him), but also the way he is quite undaunted and confident, even...
Montresaur and The Decline: thanks for the feedback! I think you are right, both about the planet being distracting, and that the asteroid doesn't look much like an abandoned spaceport. I have got...
Coool Brain: I liked the first one, I must admit, looking through the ruins with the ship in the distance, I guess you want to focus more on the abandoned rocket?
TheDecline: I think the red glow...
Trying to get general shapes. I think I am getting slightly more attuned to seeing things. About an hour.
