Have to say, the three little pigs one might be the freakiest thing I've seen in ages.
Avenger of the Slain : Sole survivor of a massacre who stalks and murders those responsible and tattoos themselves with the blood of the fallen, generally scarring his/her face. Can be any...
I chose Beauty and the Beast. Initially I was a bit more obvious with the element, but decided to tone it down and drew on the stained glass window motif from the disney film, cause it's my favorite.
Well, I'm done. Good luck everyone!
Whew...shadows galore. A bit distracted, but I'll do crits later.
Obsfelter Thanks for pointing it out. I tend to forget about lighting when I'm thinking detail.
Callergi Just saw your comment, at least I was already starting to fix the issue.
How's this? I...
I'd like to do something for this... Maybe this. Quick sketch.
Spastic Potato The front of the horse seems fine, but I think the problem lies in that the back end needs to be swung back and to the left so the back hips align with the front hips. The line of the...
Obstefelter I agree, attached them better, threw shadows under them. I like all of your concepts, though admit I like the middle one best.
Agent Melon Thanks!
Naidy The feet...
Cumquat Really like the color scheme there, it's so icy.
The variety of of entries this time is awesome.
Worked more on the dress and mask, started to detail the wings. I'm using a Golden...
Naidy - Was going for satin/silk I think. Soft and shiny. Might need to get out the bridal magazine... The only things bugging me on yours are the perspective on the feet, it's like they aren't...
Oh my--her mask is a pelvic bone. Sweet.
Last update for the day.
Niady: Thanks, I'll try a few things. I like where that's going now. I'd like to see legs.
Pixeltuner : Ahh. Okay. That'll be cool!
JanJager : Thanks, I think you're right. I fiddled a bit and...
@Pixeltuner : I like the tree mask. Not sure what I think of the torch(?) I suppose because right now it looks like a flashlight.
@Niady I'm sure you'll do fine. I like that leaf mask concept,...
Started in on the pose and colors. Not my typical palette, but I'm liking the combination. No clear idea of the background or if/what I'll do for it.
Initial sketches. A gnome woman dressed as a moth.
Such a fun prompt! Sketching time...
An update. Happier with this version, still doubt I'll get close to a finish in time, but I think I'll finish it off on my own, I'm liking where it's going.
CountBlackula - I like that concept....
An idea... I don't think I'll finish this, but I wanted to give it a go at least. Not happy with the face, but given that it's in such early stages, I've time to fix it. The hand is also--bizarre....
I'm calling this finished. This was definitely a fun prompt. Chose to do student loans as my topic for the cover.
Update. Decided to make this a bit more colorful. Got the face sorted...now I just have to get the rest of it knocked out. Not sure where I'm going with that other hand, other than my urge to find...
Here's my WIP. Going for old school colors, going to try and match the old cover text and paint it in later. Chose student loans as a topic for the cover to keep it--topical and a bit more current.
Got an idea for this... I'm going to have to get out the old camera and cajole someone into posing for study though. The internet failed on my search for drawing reference.
Grimstitch-- Now that you've pointed it out, I'm thinking I'll have to widen that up. I'll see what happens. Thanks.
