WOW! that's awesome. though the swirly engine fire is a little cheesy... >_>
it's clean yet wonderfully atmospheric, reminds me of Hyedoshi.
The fact that the side of the ship looks like a gigantic monster mouth is a little distracting. But other than that I love it, especially the way the icy snow is rendered.
Also, HOLY SHIT I LOVE...
Zorcron thanks! I'm going to be starting in the fall, just found out I got 18k a year to go.... you could say I'm excited. But you'd be wrong. I'm CRAZY EXCITED :muscle:
and as for the sketch...
Come on man! where's the love???
I saw one of these in the SCAD brochure!
by far one of the best pieces included. ^_^
Holy shit man, you've gotten good since i've been gone!!!!
those landscape studies are epic, great space!
:mod: but im back now, and i should be around for a while. keep it up!
WOW... its been almost a year.
i should upload some shit before this gets too out of hand.
Big news :
I was featured in issue 46 of IFX magazine! (first image below)
i actually really...
you definitely have an eye for gesture~!
and you environments are very stylized, im not seeing much real world observation in them, thats not necessarily a bad thing, but i always find that its...
well i have learned that the human eye has only a small area that is truly in focus, the rest essentially made sharper by your brain
i like to soften the edges that arent essential and use sharp...
just a few fashion studies for today
and thanks tugelbend, it really makes me want to paint more when people comment!!! i wish i had time to comment more on other peoples SB! :davi:
i really should work on my brush work though, im kinda heavy handed
anyways, i found this new site that lets you do screen caps right from your browser so i did some quick tests
ha thanks, i used to be afraid of colors D:
still kinda am
(back to painting waterfalls *shoots self*)
Ah the way you render flesh is so enviable!
i love his foot, very tooth like.
oh the textures in your environments are to die for~!
these are excellent, the lava studies and the most recent snow-covered mountain are sublime!
the snow has a weightless, wispy feeling...
congrats on the job!
your recent stuff is awesome, i wish we could see more.
there is only one thing that strikes me as kind of odd about your paintings. the muscles on seem kind of over...
Thaw Naing - it is miserable, those /are/ my weakest areas. i tend to work sporadically and dont usually have enough time to make comp sketches, because then i usually run out of time for the day....
lots of stuff
for the last one :v so this was inspired (probably a little too much) by whit brachna and his crazy mountainscapes
this particular scene is the result of a severe climate...
woah that last one is creepy, but awesome
he looks kind of wise
i really enjoyed working on this one.
When i was starting out it seemed as if it just wasnt going to work but soon (upon the addition of warm colors) i liked it a lot more! and become more inspired...
im addicted to waterfalls
and warm colors
I love the way you light your paintings, and your master of texturing (like distinguishing different materials) is masterful!
I think it turned out all right
i love this color combination
not sure if i made it better or not /:?
color studies are fun
