You should get Norling's "Perspective Made Easy" and read that. It will show you how to draw round things, among other useful tricks.
Yep - good start. Also think about drawing the entire subject for now, and indicate a bit of it's position...the table edge, etc. Observe the cast shadows as well.
And just a corrective note on...
these aren't bad for starting out. Maybe a little more careful observation of your angles and contours would help but just keep drawing and study some fundamentals to inform your knowledge.
