Thanks Marian! Sorry I haven't been active in a while. I've been really busy because I moved last Wednesday and it was a nightmare.
I'm glad it's over at least. I'm starting to settle in to my...
I fleshed out the general color and lighting. I'm trying to figure all this out before I get in too deep with it. In the past I haven't always cared and I suffered along the way. I'm taking baby...
Here is more of it refined. I'm still trying to figure out what to do in the background. I'm sure I'll figure something out. I'm liking the color scheme I'm using and want to play with that some more.
So I decided to redo my facebook header again. It will probably be a never ending process but I wanted to make it more lighthearted than my current one.
This is something I started working on...
This is a new illustration I'm working on. I hope to finish this one soon. I'm in the middle of packing so I don't have as much time these days so it may take longer than usual.
This is a random doodle I did this weekend. Just experimenting. I should do more of these in the future.
I like your ideas and your style emerging. One thing I noticed is that at times, your proportions are off when you draw full figures. Sometimes the head is too big or the bodies are too small. I...
I ended up fixing the lighting on the dinosaur. I realized that it was off. He would be much darker if his cast shadow is there. I also exaggerated his expression some more.
Overall I'm really...
Your idea for the Diablo piece sounds too complicated to do in one image. You could break that down into two images (killed demon, startled by Malathael)
I would simplify your idea. Maybe you...
I agree with what the others mentioned about the Diablo piece. I think it would help if the big figure in the bg was in a more dynamic pose. Right now he is just standing there...
I ended up exaggerating the expression of the dinosaur and fixed the lighting on it.
Thanks for your help and suggestions!
I exaggerated the expression some more and fixed the lighting on the dino.
It's hard to see what you are trying to do. I would do what HaoningW suggested and get your value structure down. Then you can worry about details.
After getting some useful feedback in the Art and Critique Center, I fixed this a bit more.
I fixed the proportions of the dino. I titled it more and fixed it's foot to be more planted on the...
After getting some useful feedback I made some changes.
I fixed the proportions of the dino. I also fixed some of the cast shadows to make it more consistent. I also fixed the gesture of the dino...
Thanks for commenting on my dino and kid piece. Your advice has been really helpful. I re-posted it with some changes if you were curious to see it.
Something I think you can work on is...
Thanks for your feedback.
I fixed some of the cast shadows to make them more consistent. I also fixed the proportions on the dinosaur. I guess you were right about the proportions being a bit...
If you are unsure about how something looks, you should try and get some reference. That's really the best way to figure something out.
Thanks for advice and thanks for the sample images. You are not destroying my image.
As for the anatomy of the t-rex, it was intentional to have his head to be big with a smaller body and tail. I...
This was an idea I had for a long time. I'm glad I finally had the chance to bring it to life.
After looking at it again, I still wasn't crazy on how the kid was drawn so I redrew it last night. I also wanted to push the texture some more on the t-rex. I'm liking it a lot more now.
After looking at it again, I decided to redraw the kid and wanted to push the texture more on the t-rex.
Great painting. I especially like your brushstrokes and the colors in the background.
Hi everyone. This is a new illustration I finished. I'm curious to know what others think. Thanks.
I'm calling this done.
