Yeah, may not only be art. It's a chicken and egg thing I suppose. There would be enough money if you ask me - the companies are not willing to go for it.
Well - it's about the only big studio...
I dunno, there are quite a lot of good concept artists in the Netherlands. It's more that this forum here is not so central anymore. Facebook groups took over a lot I would think.
Check here for the...

The Piersons is cool I was there a couple o'times.
Would love to see the Wackers course, its just so far away.... I'm lazy :D
Two other things coming up: On Qeensday I'll be makin portraits with...
Wednesday sounds good. I think I'll be there too.
Cool idea. If I can manage my deadlines until then, I'll join you. Have to see the exhibit anyways.
There is also another Dutch Sketch Meet planned for the 26th - in Leiden this time.
I hope I can make it this time.
Wow very productive sketchmeet. Nice works.
Did you see the wackers academie stuff? Was it good.
I hope next time I have time to join.

Here is some new stuff:
Ah, unlucky timing, if you would have written one day earlier I could have joined you - but I just went there. Uh, and I have to say sorry: I wrote Mucha, but I meant Munch in Rotterdam.
I totally wanna see the "Illusie en werkelijkheid" in the VanGogh still. It's only up to the 16th November... so I'm thinking about this Weekend. Anyone interested?
There is also the Mucha one in...
Thanks for the tips. I'll just redo the background. Probably without render - somehow they always turn out odd to me. Low FOVs usually have the problem for me that it feels like not much fits...
Damn, good eyes - respect.
It is actually based on a 3D blockout (see below). But yeah, shows another problem I come across often. The 3D versions often look weird to me. So in this case I changed...

Thank you so much Mawh - great to hear that you like it so much :)
I enjoy the watercolors too, they're so much fun to make. So I plan to do more - I've got some vacation paintings at home for...

Wow, great sketches. Great linework ... very inspirational to pick up the pencil myself more.
Maybe you wrote it here before (8 pages is a lot to check). Is it normal paper? Or Moleskine...
Thanks everyone for the great input. There is a massive task ahead of me. Guess the best way is to really approach this in separate steps. But I think it will also help me a lot to do this right.
I like her face and design. But the yellow highlight colors bug me a bit. I know it's tough on a picture where it glows hot from everywhere: but try to define a warm and a colder light source. Right...

Looking for as much input as I can on this artwork.
I wrote a bit more explanation and a little list on my webpage: here. I have some plans what to do with the details - but also I'm somewhat...
Love the atmosphere, but I find it a tad too noisy. You could blur some areas a bit - that usually helps the focus.
For example the tree to the far right: Its not important, so should not take much...
I would love to get input on this one - pretty much all that comes to mind.
My plan is to rework it... I like some parts, like some colors, but yeah...
Maybe someone has also some input how I can...
Two things stick out most to me: You dont have a clear light source. What is the main light? Try to make this the brightest and light the other things accordingly. For example: The wall is bright...
It's a good idea to start with b&w blockouts. The thing it helps with is especially to get an easy to read base. If the values work there, they usually work in the final.
In this case, I find the...
Another update with some collaborations - this time at a little cinema in a squat in Amsterdam. Worked with Nadia, David and Kelp from this forum on these.
Btw - the collab pictures we did at the squat are up at a friends blog: here and here.
Was a really nice weekend. And cool to see that many people watched all weekend long - they were really into...
