Looking good, I do like her face, it screams sexy attitude, which is I think is what you're going for.
Just get to work on those arms and start pulling it all together. I still think her left...
2 tiny critiques -
1) Colour palette is very muted and doesn't pop as maybe it could
2) Some of the smoke - especially above the top wing - needed duping artefacts taken care of
The two are not mutually exclusive! Although in Randis's case it's plenty of talent + practice, practice, practice, I would say.
I do like that exoskeleton, from a concept point of view - you've got a skinny weedy guy in it, instead of a muscled commando, etc. Nice work!
And the client is always right, sadly!
Congrats on the release of Puzzlevania Lite.
Honestly, this is inspiring, because although your work is fantastic, I'm really happy to see an alternative to the bloatware that PS is becoming. I've kept my eye on GIMP since it started way back...
I simply adore your work, its always a pleasure to see.
I wanted to take a moment to talk about the above statement.
There will always be a component who say electronic artwork...
As always, starting is always the hardest part. I find a good set of drawings help. Also, with a build of this nature, if you get bogged down in one area, you leave it and go to another (unless...
While the Lion King was well made, the fact was it was a note for note rip-off of a wonderful series created by the great Osamu Tezuka. I'm still surprised Disney aren't ashamed of their involvement,...
As far as the non-opt-in mail list goes - sounds shonky. On the otherhand, you could make up some sockpuppets on gmail/hotmail and send them through.
Yes. Smaug was sly, menacing, intelligent, greedy and immensely dangerous. The above image is cleanly rendered, but conveys nothing of Smaug's character as written in the Hobbit.
You can't do it in the way you want - because you will also be replicating all the lack of detail, and issues of finish. Bascially you will end up with a lumpy mess. Hydrospan will not duplicate...
Kotobukiya make plenty of plastic ball joints for people making their own poseable figures, etc. They are also quite cheap! Try an online retailer like www.hlj.com - it will be hard to find...
Really happy about that ruling. Really happy - I can't even believe it got that far to be honest.
Wow, that face is quite awesome - you got an exotic look with those beautiful full lips. And I adore the pose of her left hand, great lines. Lovely work.
EDIT: Just looking at it again, especially...
Thanks folks. I don't keep logs on how long these builds take. Frankly, it would probably put me off, I would think 'yeah, I should have spent that time doing something to earn money', or some other...
I laughed too. That was pretty funny.
Hi there, we do an enormous amount of type work. In Australia the legal minimum limit is 6pt, using Helvetica as the x-height measurement. And from the brand guidelines I have seen for various...
This is really awesome. I use a GS for more organic shapes and Milliput for the harder edged stuff myself, at these sort of scale.
I do like your original design!
Should have posted this ages ago, but here it is -
Like many gamers, I love Homeworld when it first came out. With designs clearly inspired by two of my favourite SF Illustrators - Peter Elson and...
Hi Max, here's a couple of pics for you:
More pics here.
Rob Cunningham saw this and gave it his seal of...
So do what I do and build your own maquette. I plan to do this one day soon.
FYI, I have been at one stage a full time model builder. To build this for you, with all weathering, base etc, - from a...
I've enjoyed your work on Conceptships.org
Nice to see your other interests here as well!
Very nice. BEAUTIFUL light rendered on the final pic, too bad about the subject (I joke!).
