Looking good in here. First image in #255, definitely feeling that!
I like the direction you're taking your work too, hopefully you'll keep pursuing it :)
You've made some great progress since January. As others pointed out you seem to be doing mostly studies though, you should try and keep a healthy ratio of studies to imaginative work in order to get...
Not exactly anything like his style, but I was feeling inspired by Richard Anderson's sketches recently and decided to whip out a brush pen.
First few are studies, I don't post traditional stuff...
Man you are prolific, its like you've worked on practically every film going. Is that your sketchbook cover? its pretty grungy, do like :)
A couple of value studies from landscape photo's
Keep em' coming! :)
Man I love your work. That woman with the guns blazing is an awesome piece, you pick some pretty tough perspectives. The chow is powerful too, although I must admit I lean more towards the less...
That Schmid study. *drool*
Your work is really coming on, nice to see some pencils from you too!
Nice pencils! I'm feeling the abstract look :)
This was a very small section of a bigger composition that just wasn't working out. Basically cropped it and carried on with this region.
Chevy, Sleep and Tom - Thanks! Too true Sleep, and I can see where you're coming from with the materials, I do have a lot of trouble with defining them and I think it has a lot to do with the value...
You've got some awesome stuff going on here! The last few environments on this page are great, not to mention your characters are good too. I'm really liking the painterly style. Keep it up.
wooh! fantastic character sketches, I see a lot of improvement on this page alone. Thumbnail number 2 was definitely a good choice, has a great pose and silhouette. Keep it up!
You have some very impressive linework, I'm liking the character sketches a lot! I was gutted to hear about THQ and Vigil, I played Darksiders I and II and loved them both. Did you get the chance to...
Great character sketches! I love the loose inky feel they have going on.
Great work man! I love the animated style, the character in post #91 is probably my favourite :) Glad to hear things got better for you, keep posting!
I was brought here by a very eye catching thumbnail. Nice work! Most people just use dual brush and choose some grungy looking brush to get those pretty textures but looks like you caught some good...
Loving the last batch of character designs. You have a great style of painting too, especially liking the strokes in the value stuff. Just wondering, the texturing is awesome on that colour study of...
Hey you're making some good progress! I'd look out for placement of facial features and such in your portraits, there are some good books on head construction. Andrew Loomis' head and hands is...
Your brush pen style sketches are sweeet! Post #936 especially. Wouldn't mind seeing more like that :)
wow, nice environment thumbs. You have a slapdash approach to using photo textures but I really like that, I think it leaves the work looking rough and painterly. Good stuff!
A sketch exploring some different blending modes and colour options -
Hey man thanks for stopping by! I honestly don't have much to criticize here, you've made some really decent progress during the 8 months you've been posting so you're definitely on the right track....
