Hey man, its been a while. I really like this Momotaro stuff; can't wait to see the product of it. Really, really great thumbs too.
You going to make it out to San Fran in December? Hit me...
JERI - I can only assume that that was sarcastic... it's Marko's, if you're not...
Anyway - I guess now that the threads are up for LMS2 it's ok to post our entries.
Fishspawn - Thanks. I haven't had the time recently to go to my life drawing class, but I've got a big still life project to do, so that should help.
Kurt - Yeah, I've tried a little. With a...
Rock on, Kurt. The characters are lookin pretty good.
Heres a shot of the thumbnail that turned out almost completely different from my piece.
Just wanted to join in the preview...
I'll be seeing them at Ozzfest in St. Louis. Anyone else gonna see it?
They rock hardXcore. Period.
You should look at more pictures of bones while youre drawing that: bones aren't just black and white, they have a natural yellowish hue to them. Study the shading, shape, etc, and then try to...
I have no idea what, and take no liberty for whatever the hell it is I'm sending to you, Cody.
Amazing textures in your work.
Keep 'em coming.
Ah Vigo...I wish I had any idea what to expect from you. I seriously can't wait to see what you come up with for this. You too, ploboyko.
I shouldn't be wasting my valiable last...11 hours, by...
Nice studies. You're getting a lot better at digital too. You may want to get (back?) into the habit of placing construction lines on the face to keep your eyes in good relation to eachother and in...
Taking a break from my LMS2 piece... tried my hand at coloring one of Markos pieces.
Definately a WIP...
What? It hasn't been 2 weeks yet! But an update anyway.
Recursive end - Thanks. I tried some more shading stuff in this update, so maybe that will tickle your fancy.
I guess I could use the...
Been meaning to respond to all you guys who commented, so here goes...
Noe: Thanks for the encouragement. I've been experimenting with OC a little more, but I've switched over to painter while I...
AGH! Neglectful again.
Mini-dump for the time being...my personal scanner dosen't take kindly to scanning frmo my sketchbook (i.e. the first pic)...too small of a scanning area methinks.
I dont know about finished work, but it is pretty good. The chest is pretty much the same all over, even though hes raising his arm on one side. It should probably stretch or something.
Something to overlap your 3 components would help it out a lot. Right now your subjects are all just hanging around, not really interacting.
Also, one would think that the light from the bird...
Caravaggio was a pretty gory master(I think) painter. I don't know about splayed bodies or anything...
Really like the colored stuff (hadn't seen any of it at the Workshop). Realy nice stuff all around. Keep up those face studies, they're looking better and better.
Nice looking model sketches. 2 things I notice about a lot of your pieces are face placement or size (usually its too low or too small), and that your neck muscles tend to be over emphasized. that...
Really cool stuff. Really really cool.
Is the eyeball in the armor on the leg in the first one intentional?
Slowly but surely getting the hang of this...I think.
If anyone uses OpenCanvas(1.1), and has any tips, lay 'em on me.
Because I've been (yet again) neglectful of scanning.
For the time being, this is all I've got thats new. OpenCanvas...
