Ceiling artist is watching you :B
Sketch after photo ref, turning it 180° and then painting the whole thing upside down.
Fantastic studies, Cristina! Don't even know what to suggest since you seem to do quite well with them. :D
When was the last time you did a full-blown personal artwork?
Your ZBrush stuff is quite neat. Shows that you have a good feeling for form and structure. Now you just need to apply this to your sketches. So keep up your studies. Loomis is certainly a good start...
Looking great so far! :D
I also welcome all kind of innovations in Fantasy. But ethnicity shouldn't be excluded from this. A lot of people here arguing like it wouldn't make sense for Fantasy to include people of colour....
Peter Coene & Farvus
You are both missing my point by a few yards. No one is saying you should not do research. No one is saying you should just randomly put ethnic characters from all over the...
@Dierat: Yay! It's also the only example I know of that is at least trying to stick to the right skin colour. Sadly, some people won't probably even notice that because you know, Earthsea is high...
Ok, honestly, what the hell is it with that authenticity argument? We are talking about general fantasy illustrations with monsters, dragons, magic, ridiculously huge or useless armoury or even weird...
Finally Nov 1st again! YAY! Always great to see those magnificent SPs. :yayca:
Couldn't make it last year but here's 2007 for comparison:...
I haven't checked back your SB for ages it seems. Great new stuff here. The landscapes are top notch. As I said earlier, your brushwork is fabulous!
Your determination is impressive! Go go go! :D
The recent poses look great. Also like the girls from imagination but as p sage said you need to work on their overall shape. The latest is already an improvement. Keep it up, you're on a good way...
I really like the Celtic Amazon. Can't help it but her outfit and the wolves convey a bit Mononoke feeling (which isn't a bad thing). I especially like the use of brushes and textures - it gives the...
Salut Olivier! Good to see you!
As you probably know, I always loved your character designs. The costumes have a very special charm to them.
Don't know what else to say for the...
Sweet studies. I also really like the environment you did for Christina! :D
The bone studies look great! About the environment I'd second everything that Matt has said (and illustrated so awesomely). With a little practise you can do that too. Don't give up! :D
I really love your recent environments!
I really like your caricature/comic style. The lines and shapes are actually quite nice! But it's all pretty scribbly now. I'd love to see some more polished stuff. :D
Wonderful sketchbook you have here!
Haha, the poor comparison man! Is it just me or is the lighting of the monster a bit off?
Finally got some time to write some critiques while drinking my morning coffee. :D
Quinn Simoes Love what you got so far. I hope you can finish your painting!
westoon Perhaps it's just me, but...
Nice doodles! Though I must admit I wait eagerly for your painting updates. :D
3m Wow, I like this a lot! It's fitting the theme perfectly. Good job! :D
Now for some tweaking:
1) [Group] Should we use the names of the races that we established in the descriptions?
Just noticed - the portraits should be submitted with a 2:3 ratio. Fixed the portraits to fit the requirements.
And the good Satyress! :D
Ok then, coloured the small lines from the evil satyress - zebra style! :D
And some more versions of the evil Rhino!
