Everything in this video can be done with photoshop's time line tool. If you have photoshop you have everything you need to get started. Watch some youtube tutorials on the timeline feature.

Pardon if this is already an active topic but I was recently listening to the Brad Rigney interview on crimson daggers and he mentioned that he did a lot of his lighting studies from movies stills....

Id suggest not using burn or dodge tools to make your highlights and or shadows. You'll develop a better understanding of color, light and shadows if you do the color selecting yourself instead of...
