Feb 1st. - Furious fuhrer
Trying to draw some heavily shadowed evil. Hitler came to mind.
Jan.30th - Pencil sketch.
Not too fond of it...should have rendered the jacket on the left soldier...but got lazy and ran out of time. Not really in proportion, and the profile/borderline 3/4 view...
Dude! Some good stuff here, but I think I had an acid flashback just looking at some of those trippy deals haha.
@Mag-Neo: haha, sounds like an arrangement I could get behind. Keep at those portraits bro, awesome stuff!
@Ramina: Thanks man :) I liked the palette quite a bit
@Dope Fiend: Thanks a lot dude,...
Brilliant dude; your photo-realism is really spot-on. If I could do portraits like that...I wouldn't be sitting here with empty pockets :P
You have a really neat style; it borders on caricature sometimes. I love it, especially the one of the little girl on the bird. Very cool expression.
Wow! Awesome face mate, I love it. So expressive, and the saturated colours really make it pop off the page.
Jan.29th - Hey guys, started the day off with an enviro painting.
I decided that I hate the tree in the middle - horrendous composition.
Beautiful work mate! I love your faces...the expressions read amazingly even without eyes.
WIP colouring of the previous sketch. First time doing lineart with pencil, and then colouring on photoshop.
Wish me luck, and any tips for carrying on would be MUCH appreciated.
Jan 28th - Hey guys;
Just doing some ref sketching, trying to get my lineart down pat. This is Madrak, trollblood from Hordes of Privateer Press.

Your sketchbook is an inspiration. It seems so raw...just awesome stuff coming out of you. You have some mad talent buddy!
Jan 1st: Had a CRAZY holiday season, but now that its winding down I have time to draw again!
Got a sick sketchbook for Christmas from my girlfriend, so you can expect some more pencil/pen...
I've taken the time to go through your whole SB, and it's rock solid. Well done bud, well done.
Dec.1st - On a bit of a sketching spree here. Very happy with the hair here; hands are a little weak...leg studies are in order.
@Oblivia: Yeah I think I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks again for...
Dec.1st - Some face studies. Trying to use a less sharp stroke, but it made the picture a bit muddy. Gotta work more on the fabrics and the faces, but its a start.
Any idea how to lose the...
@ Oblivia: Thanks a lot! That looks like a killer technique, Ill give 'er a try.
Nov.30th - Very happy with this one. The fabrics are rendered well, and the anatomy lets me know I've made some progress.
She didn't have pants on for a reason. [Insert joke here]
Really cool figure studies;
I can see the "light" in the eyes haha.
Thanks again for all your help.
Thank you so much Oblivia! That collage of faces is extremely helpful!
I will indeed go for a less saturated background. But as for suggesting trees...should I just not do it? I...
Nov.28th - Sketchbook sketch today, from ref. Chanel model, clearly (ooh, my work on those C's is garbage).
Her left leg is a little rubbery, not quite what I wanted. The values are pretty good...
Hmm...I'm thinking of scrapping that tree altogether. I've been looking at some landscapes, and it appears that its a little to saturated to use as a marker for stuff further back.
Anyone have any...
Hey guys, I have a major problem today and I -really- need some advice as to how to fix it.
The background looks like absolute shite in this picture...I've been trying to work it for...
@ Oblivia: Thanks! Yeah I've been meaning to study some more faces...any ideas of where I can go for some good practical instruction? It seems I'm tackling them in the wrong way, especially eyes. I...
