I'm actually not very comfortable with the idea of showing even a small forum like this, a photo of myself, even if to help identify proportions/features, etc...Sorry if this is a detrimental. :/
Second go at it. This time it's a little more rough. Crits/opinions/suggestions?
Ayreon - Age of Shadows
Thank you for that. And yeah, Bouguereau is one of my favourite painters out there. Can't believe I didn't think of doing so. Thanks for the paint over, too. I thought I had taken...
Passion develops and comes from deep within. It's not entirely a choice.
I recently acquired a copy of Flash Cs, and have been playing around with it since. I only really have one "finished" animation clip, and even then, its two seconds long.
My question is,...
Since no one seems to be biting on my sketchbook anymore; Could someone give a critique on this self portrait. (No photo reference, all done through the mirror.)
My personal nit pick is that the...
Use harder brushes on your subjects, the soft brushes are killing it,
Great stuff! The last one, the fight with the imp, is pretty dynamic and nice story telling. My only suggestion would be to use harder brushes for your paintings. Other than that, keep it up!
Very nice works you have, I love the pencil sketches, and he very lats piece here with the knight and sword. The portrayed depth via colour and contrast is pretty convincing. Keep up the...
Did a quick portrait study today! :D My only few nitpicks are that I wish there was more contrast/definition in the face/flesh, as it looks flat and too blended.
Also, a timeline of progress with...
Did some studies this morning, from photo reference....and I going in the right direction? Critique? This is only a sample, really, once I get a sense of what I am doing okay and what I am going...

Uggghm I wish I had more to say than ass patting crap, but;
I really do love these last two, the subtle colours and shades in the roof tops...
Thank you for your reply, Tinybird.
Very true. I do have a ton of acrylics laying around, most are nearly empty tubes but enough and a good range of colours to do a few days or week of...
But when I do studies, nothing looks 100% like the picture/reference, it's frustrating. I want to do enviroment studies, even if only to gain a better understanding of colour and it's relations in...
How do I apply/win one? And what the heck even are they?
I want to try some acid. D:
-Removed all the crap imaginative works...starting fresh on this same thread (not deleting it) and posting studies.
I dont even know where to start with studies...everything seems so complex now..
I feel like I get no where, as people always get frustrated with having to tell me the same thing over and over...
Thank you for your critiques thus far!
@tinybird: I'll start on them (studies) soon...just never have had the motivation to do so as of recently.
This is done, and I am happy with it, but I feel that if I'm happy with something, then I did something wrong and I must rekindle my critical nature through others.
THUS: Rip the following...
Posting in this thread again.
I absolutely agree with the images of our planet and galaxies being posted as well. Absolutely gorgeous, and eye opening. As much as I hate portions of humanity,...
